The PlayStation Vita In 2011-2012

I see 3 different prices for Vita software in the US:

$29.99:
wipEout 2048
Hot Shots Golf
ModNation Racers: Road Trip
Touch My Katamari
Ridge Racer

$39.99:
LittleBigPlanet
Army Corps Of Hell
Little Deviants
Gravity Rush
Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3
Reality Fighters
Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention
MLB 12 The Show
BlazBlue: Continuum Shift EXTEND
Shinobido 2: Revenge of Zen

$49.99:
Uncharted: Golden Abyss

All from Amazon.

Awesome pricing for the three games I want most, wipEout 2048, Hot Shots Golf and Touch My Katamari. Just put my pre-orders in on Amazon!

UC should be 40 but 50 for a console like experience is ok. I don't know if I will buy it at launch or I may break. Right off that list, I want Mingol, Little Deviants, Army Corps, and LBP.

So sad that Capcom decided to milk Monster Hunter by using a bunch of old content and put it on the 3DS for the next installment instead of creating brand new assets for a Vita game, something that would work well on PS3/360 as well.

Can someone answer this question please?

According to someone on twitter, you can avoid resetting the vita by having three memory cards and using one as a dummy. This apparently allows you to avoid resetting the vita all the time you want to switch accounts. Has anyone tried this?

How does this stop you requiring to reset?

Money talks.

Prices seem to be shaping up in a similar fashion on most Canadian sites as well. Managed to get HSG, Modnation and Wipeout 2048 for $24.99 each from bestbuy.ca. I still want MLB 12, UMvsC3, BlazBlue and Uncharted. I'm curious about Gravity Rush too. :/

My wallet is sad.

That's a fantastic early lineup of games though.

Yeah, I hope that UC price is wrong but I guess they feel that it's a near console like experience so they figure to price it higher. I don't know though, LBP looks amazing and has things like multi-touch and is looking identical to the console version and it's 40. I think I may just stay away from UC if that price holds. I want at least 2-3 online games and then have money for PSN stuff.

Has DC or anyone discussed how the online in Mingol is? Like real time or just wait and see others scores?

It's also due to Uncharted fatigue. People need a break from the series in order to appreciate it. Wasn't a great idea to rush this out for launch IMO.

well, there are a number of series that have put a similar amount of games in the same time and people do not hate so much. I guess that being sony's flagship IP is the reason. Even U3 was really 'hated', so the trend just goes on.
Or Sony in general.

agree.

so LBP is launch title in the west afterall?

ANy news about demos for those games, i am interested on modnation, but not really sure if it will be worth or not.

Uncharted is $39.99 at Gamestop.com - Reality Fighters and Little Deviants are $29.99, too.

It's a good thing I locked Uncharted in at $29, because there's no fucking way I'm paying $50 for a handheld game.

Ever.

Do we think PSN prices will be lower than these? I'd prefer to download them I think, all other things being equal.

I just decided to get a Wi-Fi Vita at launch (US), and I'm getting Gravity Rush and another game. Which game should I get?
I haven't owned a PS system since the original Rectangular PlayStation with its no analog-sticks controller, so I haven't really played most Sony franchises. I was thinking either Mingol or Uncharted, but there are a ton of other games at launch that it's getting hard to choose. I kind of want something that has a good online experience.

Uncharted at $50 is lunacy.

I'll wait for the inevitable bomba.

Wipeout.

Sony has revealed line-up and prices for the European launch of Vita next February 22.

As previously reported, the console will come six AR Play cards and a voucher for three free AR games.

The full software line-up is as follows:

Uncharted: Golden Abyss – £44.99 (€49.99)
ModNation Racers: Road Trip – £34.99 (€39.99)
Everybody’s Golf – £34.99 (€39.99)
WipEout 2048 – £34.99 (€39.99)
Unit 13 – £34.99 (€39.99)
Little Deviants – £24.99 (€29.99)
Reality Fighters – £24.99 (€29.99)

While the 32GB Vita memory card won't be available at launch, the three smaller sizes will be priced as follows:
4Gb Memory Card – £17.99 (€19.99)
8Gb Memory Card – £31.99 (€34.99)
16Gb Memory Card – £44.99 (€49.99)

50€ for Uncharted and the card price (all of them) are too expensive for me... but in the opposite, the console and wipeout price is fantastic

Europeans should not buy anywhere else than from the UK, from the usual online retailers.

Games in continental Europe have always been insane, so Vita games being in that line shouldn't come as a surprise. Just Ignore the euro pricing and wait for the inevitable price drop in pounds in the UK and buy. Simple as that.

Uncharted for 50 euro?! Most new PS360 can be bought for 40-45

Well, if you buy your new games for 40-45€ (and you really buy them in €, and not in pounds or dollars), please tell me where. Because here, console games are 60€ or 70€.

Yep. UK or US is the way to go.

Where most bombas happen? Zavvi? Amazon UK? I can see most games being 49.99EUR in Germany, no way I'm buying that.

Even 80€ in some EA titles

I´ll go with Amazon Uk, good deals and bombas, fast delivery

lol @ uncharted for 50 bucks while wipeout is 30. sorry dudes, i'll go with the better and cheaper game!

Thats because uncharted probably rivals the console games. And they're $60

Wipeout 2048 has probably near the same amount of content as wipeout HD and that launched at a really budget price. ~$15ish IIRC

not exactly the same deal, since HD is basically a HDupgrade of pulse and pure, but still it gives some justification to the price. plus, wipeout isn't a flagship franchise like uncharted.

Vita already has a pretty severe uphill climb in the US, where Uncharted isn't really a flagship title either (with respect to sales). Pricing the most visible launch game (the one in all the promo shots) at $49.99 is just asking for trouble.
