That stage is seemingly tiny compared to what I remember.

And man, I too thought Bob Barker was dead lol.

The stage has always been "tiny". They roll things in and out in between breaks. They have entire crew dedicated to doing all of the hard work.

You can see tours of the stage online.

He seems fantastic for 91. When he first walked out all slow I was kind of sad, but once he got the mic and started talking it was great. Hasn't missed a beat.

Good to see Bob Barker again - plenty of memories watching him as the host. A genuinely enjoyable, pleasing April Fool's joke. :)

The gif of that one guy going nuts will get some nice mileage on here methinks.

Yeah I did Price is Right in the early 2000s and I was amazed how small and cheap the set was in real life. They pointed a camera at a green screen that had light bulbs around it for the intro shot. Bob took questions during breaks from the audience and had canned jokes for everything because people ask him the same stuff about Happy Gilmore and things. Everyone in that audience has gotten no sleep because you gotta get in line the previous day.

Not from America?

Contestants have been super hyper on The Price is Right for over 40 years!

I just watched that video from 1983(?) and there weren't much screaming/shrieking/whatever loud noises was happening back then. Also, that lady was had way more energy than my 6 year old niece and her ADHD level is through the rof.

I am not from America, yes, but I though, ever game show had the same ''feel'' to it everywhere.

He looks like he's had a lot of plastic surgery over the years. The woman that won the car, you can see the briefest pause before she goes in for the hug, afraid that she might snap him. He looks so frail. :/

That's my major concern on seeing the clip. Him coming out and I'm thinking "damn, he's old. Is he going to be alright on stage?"

The show actually gained popularity throughout the years. The contestants now are more than likely people who grew up watching the show, and it's been their dream to be on it in some fashion. Straight up, I would probably be yelling too if I had the chance to be in the audience, let alone a contestant, on the Price is Right.

This too.

Bob Barker really is in the greatest of all time tier.

I mean, her prize was a new car and she got blindsided by Bob Barker.

Well, he is 91. Are we expecting him to sprint out and run around the stage? He looked perfectly fine, considering.

The contestants on The Price Is Right have been wilder over the years due to viewers getting more familiar with the type of prizes the show gives away. The show has been known for having contestants with a high amount of energy since the 1970s though.

Short clips from the show over the years:

1975

1985

1994

2005

I am not from America, yes, but I thought every game show had the same ''feel'' to it everywhere.

Nope. Simply depends on the game itself. The Price is Right is more wild/crazy while a (trivia) game show like Jeopardy! is more laid back.
