After a post like Motorstorm followed up by GTHD, its hard to swallow a game that looks like this. It almost becomes a situation where every game's graphics are a referendum on the PS3 price.
Hopefully this shit gets some attention before being released.

After a post like Motorstorm followed up by GTHD, its hard to swallow a game that looks like this. It almost becomes a situation where every game's graphics are a referendum on the PS3 price.
Hopefully this shit gets some attention before being released.

To be fair, those are E3 2K6 screens...

and probably the worse thing about them is the terrible aliasing and lack of AF. If it had better image quality, the game could launch as is. I mean... it *is* Everybody Loves Gold after all.

I'd think we'll be seeing it around the Europe launch of the PS3. It was never going to be a launch title in the US but it was really the Europe launch title for the system.

I agree that there are two many gloomy shooters, but there are still some awesome PS3 games coming out - FEAR, Resistence, Oblivion, MGS4, Final Fantasy 13, etc.

Best-looking one we've seen played, yeah (hell, best-looking next-gen console game we've seen played perhaps, it and Gears are incompatible to compare).

But Genji is surprisingly gorgeous, Heavenly Sword is amazing and F1 is close as well.

Genji 2's visuals remind me of a pumped up Ninja Gaiden, which is a good thing.

This thread is already losing steam? I find it really weird that the Wii screenshot thread had more momentum than this one. I know that topic was posted earlier, but it got 7 pages -- over 300 posts -- in a day. PS3 is undeniably a heavy hitter in the screenshot area. No one's even posted MGS4 shots yet (unless some links were broken that I couldn't see).

I'm not sure how much help the original will be as a reference. It's more a reenvisioning of the original game than a remake. And the original was also strictly level-based, while this one appears to be based on a large, open world structure. There will probably be some areas that evoke scenes from the original but I think the majority will be new.

I <3 HSG. The graphics are pretty shite so far but the game was so fun with its old school hit mechanics (compared to Tiger Woods analog stick mechanism)
