The REAL Wii VC sales thread

I asked this question in the other thread, but no one answered: who owns the rights to the wrestling games developed by Aki during the N64 era?
sorry to go off topic a bit, but the answer to this is that the rights are split in case it hasn't already been answered. THQ actually owns the rights to the code and games, but of course WWE owns the rights to all likenesses and names. What makes matters even more complicated though are that the World Wildlife Fund actually owns the rights to the WWF acronym. This prevents WWE from using the old WWF logo in any product without paying the World Wildlife Fund licensing fees. In videos they get around this by blurring the old logos. In a video game however they would have to redo a great deal of the art assets. In short, don't expect to see these games on VC, ever. And that goes for the SNES, Genesis, and arcade titles as well on any service including XBLA, PSN, etc.

what about the japanese versions? Didn't those use Japanese wrestlers mainly?

Donkey Kong

I love improving by not playing for a long time. I don't recall getting as far as the middle of the fifth loop (game A) before, but I did tonight on my first try.

Bonk's Adventure (Actually, kind of have buyer's remorse on that one)
Super Star Soldier (Lovin' it.)
Bomberman 93 (Need someone to play against : ()
Solomon's Key
Legend of Zelda.

bonk's adventure

+1 buyer's remorse.
Heh, I hadn't even seen that post...

How does Ecco play? I've never played it, but ever since I saw it in magazines when it was released, it always intrigued me, yet I never looked for much info.

Could the GAF experts help me out on this one? Please.

Updated. Ristar, while not exactly rising to the heavans, still did well for itself for one day.

+1 Ristar

: \ i even have the damn game, but only a crappy cable RF-adaptor for my genesis..... progressive scan is always worth it! (also i never payed anything for the origional cart)

as the number one seller here, is bonk worth it?

My only options right now are Wii Sports and Bonk... I've played Bonk more and can't see why some people are having buyer's remorse with it - especially since it was only $6.

Take a look at some videos (there's boss battles and a few levels) on YouTube and see if it's your kind of thing.
