Yeah, depending on the guest. I usually dislike those pods, but the two you named were good, as was louis ckIt's because the vast majority of athletes/stars aren't interesting.
Bogut was good. Duchovny was stellar. Comes down to who it is he's talking to.
Finally got around listening to this week's Watch. God I hope ATT is more Mal/Jason than Andy/Chris.
That's very very unlikely, unfortunately
Oh I know. I like the two of them separately but together they turn into those two annoying dudes we all know.
1600 is so good. Feel like it should be its own pod and promoted way more. Totally agree on Ryan and Greenwald being fine individually but terrible together. Worst pod on the network and really the only even bad one imo.
So I am in the minority on liking Chris & Andy together? Love Hollywood Prospectus and The Watch.
Especially when it comes it to Game of Thrones
It just feels weird to have two guys who haven't read the books and who actively dislike book readers being the leaders on the response to GOT
Also, the Kings are going to lose, which makes me happy, almost more than if a boston team won because of his bandwagoning on the kings
Haha nah. Maybe some echo chamber but the annoying white Brooklyn guys comment was just too perfect. So I am in the minority on liking Chris & Andy together? Love Hollywood Prospectus and The Watch.

Simmons homerism basically got me back into hockey, cheering for the Sharks.
Bill Simmons' big HBO deal comes full circle this summer. The pay cable net announced Tuesday that his new series has both a title (Any Given Wednesday With Bill Simmons) and a premiere date (June 22).
The initial 20-episode season, part of Simmons' exclusive multi-year, multi-platform agreement with HBO, kicks off a few weeks before the deal's one-year anniversary. The half-hour show will air weekly, on Wednesday nights, at 10 p.m. simultaneously becoming available on both the HBO Go and HBO Now platforms.
Im excited about the show, Im excited about the title and Im really, really excited to drop my first F-bomb on TV, said Simmons in a statement. We are going to figure out nudity down the road, as long as its tasteful.
I'm excited for ATT regardless. WTT was a great production and always a highlight of my week. Should be interesting to see how they adapt to the new format..
I hope this doesn't mean we're getting duplicate podcasts if we already subscribe to Channel 33 and The Bill Simmons Podcast.
Is the NBA show not showing up for anyone else? I'm only getting episode zero in my podcast client (Overcast).
I wasn't getting ep 1 in Overcast, but i was in the Apple Podcast app.
I tried there too, still nothing! Weird.
Is it just Bill and House?
I got it on mine (Android, Pocket Casts). There's also an Ep. 0 too (theme music?) so maybe that's what's messing things up.
Kind of down on After The Thrones. I love Andy and Chris and am devout to the podcast, but they're not particularly good on TV, the clips/flashiness distract from the talk, and I have a feeling that they're not going to be particularly critical of the show, as I feel they've done a good job on that in the past. I'll probably still check it out from time to time.
I forgot to watch it on demand last night. These IMDB reviews are harsh, but I kind of figured Chris & Andy wouldn't go down to well with people who didn't know and like them from the podcasts.

I feel like this will be the general reaction to Bill Simmons on HBO
These guys just don't translate to TV well unfortunately
Actually think Ringer would be really well served having a woman-led panel show about sports and pop culture.
I'm sure Katie Nolan would love that. She's already (jokingly?) peeved that Simmons' comic sports show is airing the same night as her comedic sports show, but if it was also hosted by a woman with a way bigger budget than her show? Ouch.

We'll see how Any Given Wednesday fares. I have tempered expectations.
Rapaport back on the main pod, omg yes! Love that dude.

I don't think Bill is very good on TV at all. Competent mostly, but not good. I don't think this HBO venture is going to turn out all that well, but I could be wrong.
