The 'Scribblenauts Avatars' Thread-The artists have left the building

I'm sorry for jumping the line, but this request had me intrigued and I wanted to do some experimenting (with lame results, as you may see :lol ).

Nice! I figured I could try that since it doesn't involve people, but I couldn't figure out how to get started without using too much detail going from reference pictures (plus I tried drawing in the GIMP instead of on paper, which made it even harder. :P)

Nice, that's really good!

Amazing. Do you draw some sketches on paper before using PS, or you just open the program and draw what you have in mind?

I usually have an idea of what I want to draw before I start doodling. Sometimes it doesn't work out and I go through several layers of rough drawing.

Oops, sorry for invading your testing grounds. As you have noticed, TARDIS is too simple to become a good scribble, 'cause you don't have much margin for intervention. I tried to make it "cuter" by making the light on the top and the sign bigger, but it's still too similar to the original. Maybe I should've tried ditching the perspective, but I'm not sure about it.

And... does anybody know why when I upload my PNGs they become darker (they are "normal" on my PC)? It's really annoying...

Oh I gave up long ago, don't worry. :P

It might be your interlace or color settings, Vers. If you're using photoshop, get them to the size you want and try saving them through the Save for Web and Devices dialogue. That gives you a lot of control over what your final product will look like with a live preview.

That's if the discrepancy was appearing between photoshop and the file, though. If it's between the final png itself when viewed on your computer and your browser, I'm not sure about that.

They look great from where I'm sitting, that Tardis is fantastic, and I love that you animated it. Great show.

The problem is right there, when I upload the file. When I see the file locally on my pc, the color issue just isn't there. And it happens with PNG only. If you look at the TARDIS, the one on the right is a GIF and I see it slightly lighter than the other two. I'd rather not use the GIF format, though, 'cause it creates some "jaggies" on the edges; maybe I'll do some experiments. Thanks for the answer.

Thanks. The 150kb limit forced me to cut a lot of frames and colors, but you can still make out what is going on :lol

No, no, you did an excellent job. Thanks for animating it, even.

Can someone do me a Balrog from Street Fighter ? It would be so awesome !

Even there is already balrog avatar, but seriously you can't even read any of pages or title, because you could find balrog yourself and that you should be aware that we are not accepting any requests; even title point that out.

I actually saw it but I don't really know how you proceed to give them and I didn't know if it was already claimed or not, so I asked it, knowing that the answer would be like the one justchris gave me.
I saw the title too, and I'm sorry for that, my english is just bad and I try to make sentence that make sense, obviously, that doesn't work anytime.
Are you mad at me now ? :(

I am trying to point it out that it is not that hard to look through the pages. that's all. I am not mad at you. Just that posters have been getting more lazy and lazier.

THANKYOU SO MUCH DANTE AND JOCCAN!! I love the 4th hokage! Could i perhaps use it as my avatar?

Your welcome :)

And off course, you can use it, everytime I see Zero Gravity with the Miyuki I made puts a big smile on my face, it would be the same seeing the Fourth as your avatar! :D

I actually got that from a post on the previous page, someone is updating with unclaimed avatars, so people can find them and claim them if their request has been filled, or use a free one if they missed a chance to get on the list.

Thanks for the canuck gaming deals!

Edit: Can someone let me in on how to make animated gifs have transparency without weird aliased edges?

EDIT: Fixed

What's the website that has all the Avatars collected again? I want to start saving a lot of these on my harddrive :D
http://masklinn.net/scribbletars/ maybe? Also, I finally dynamiticified it, so I can easily add new scribbletars to it (and did add a few of the previous pages)

If you see avatars missing on the page (or not updated for those who keep changing 'em), tell me.

PS: Bazoozoo_ your scribbleruto is nice, but it's also 640x888 and 150KB, you might want to resize it to the forum's limits...
