Maybe I don't want to know, but...why do you seem to have a weird fascination with Caylee Anthony? :/ It even made Jackson sad. Is it some sort of RIP thing?

I use PS, but I do have GIMP as well. I was just wondering if it was like some blending property option or something... What I did was just copy pasta the main layer, and then make 2 color overlays, one white, one light blue, then place them behind the main layer.

But ...it doesn't look quite right, since there's usually a white outline around the entire character. Do I just select the "stroke" option in blending properties and make a white outline like that? :S

I did something pretty similar when I added a shadow. I used the wand select on the transparent area (don't use the feather edge option) and inverted it. Then I did something like Select->Selection to Path, and used the Stroke Path option to just draw a white border around it. You can pick what size, brush, etc. is used.

For the shadow, I used that inverted selection after duplicating the foreground layer, and dragged it down and right one pixel. I also filled it with the shadow color (you can fill an entire selection instead of just a solid color with a paintbrush option), and I trimmed off the upper left section of the shadow layer using the freehand select tool, so that the shadow didn't show through any transparent holes in the middle of the image where it wouldn't look as nice.

The only thing missing is Steve's burning joint. It would go great in his outstretched hand in the first avatar. I mean come on, the guy sparks up every 15 mins throughout the movie. But still my favorite so far. Has anyone claimed the 1st or 2nd yet?

You're definitely right about the feet, i'll fix them in a moment.
