Also I wish red rings of death on all of you with early copies...no remorse... I went to my TRU to buy it but they dint have it out yet. For some reason they had copies of Halo 3, PGR3, Strangehold,Lair,MP3,Mario Galaxy,SSBB, and GTA IV. I came for the bioshock so I left. You guys should head out and pick these titles up TRU is where its at...

Those games suck ass compared to Bioshock.

I'm going to call again and say "No, what's that?" to the screener and have a heart to heart with the actual guy at the counter. "How does a crisp 20 in your wallet sound?" Fresh CLEAN bills. Untaxed.

But you will get them early im telling you, doesnt that sweeten the deal. They were also all half off and by one get one free. They had big signs everywhere that said "What Release Date?" on them.

The leak isn't 2K's fault at all, but they really shouldn't have left us with 24 hours of dead silence while all hell broke loose on their forums and gaming forums across the internet. A simple, "Despite the fact that a few copies were sold early at certain retailers, the release date has not changed." would have sufficed. They're not asleep at the wheel - I'm more than certain they're aware of all of this - they just decided that it wasn't important to respond to it.

No, I'll say "I love you Irrational."

2K is handling this very poorly. We now have a situation where thousands of copies of the game have been sold around the country and those of us who couldn't get it are stuck on spoiler watch for six days. There's no reason for them to adhere to the street date afrer a leak of this size. None.

They brushed our teeth with their dicks.
 
Just got back from the Toys R Us in Matteson, IL. They hadn't gotten their copies in yet. Cute lady with braces working behind the counter said "You're the 10th person that's asked about Bioshock today."

Oh well. Did get three other games on the cheap so it wasn't a total waste.

Based on what the clerk at TRU told me, there is absolutely no indication on the box, in the computer, or on the game that this game is street dated.

I saw the box and games cases at Gamestop. TRU people are telling the truth. There is absolutely no indication of a street date.

Got this after at Toys R Us in Alhambra, CA this morning around 11 am. I called before I went in and got her to hold me a copy and when I got there, there were only two left. Before I found it there I had been calling a bunch of gamestops and they acted like a bunch of asses saying the game wasnt availible till the 21st and anyone who sold it until then would be in big trouble, and I was like yeah if I find it anywhere I'm still buying it.

TRU doesn't carry most PC games from what I understand.

Yeah, I was at a crappy GS today knowing full well I wouldn't get it, I just wanted to chat with the manager and ask if he was getting calls. All he did was answer in an asshole voice and proceeded to try and sell me a pre-order. I wanted to punch his fat head for being so snobby. If you don't walk into a GS looking like a total nerd these guys try to sell you anything.
 
I'm pretty sure the jig is up on TRUs in bigger areas; I called the Sacramento TRU, who had it, and said it was available, and when I got there, the guy gave me his sob story about not being able to sell it after they got an email from corporate. Sigh. Wasted an hour and a half.

Precisely. I'll just reiterate with you, Denog: there is no indication on the shipping package or game that this was to be held.

The clerks at TRU would have had no idea. In fact, blame their registers for not having a SKU "lock-out."

Bioshock available at Newark, DE TRU. Arrived via DHL about 3PM. There were about four copies left at 3:30 when I grabbed mine.

Yeah, that is Bullshit. There was no way for them to know when the sale date was. This is TRU, as a company's screw up.
