Except when Duth strangled that cat, still a big WTF moment. I got a good laugh when all those cats were skulking around the slaughterhouse.

You did a great job of reall encapsulating my feelings. Great, great show.

Anyone mocking the Ronster should remember he was originally going to have a smaller role but he was SO powerful they kept adding to his screen time.
 
Ronnie owns. I don't know why everyone always jumps on him when he was supposed to be a nobody to begin with. Tons of shows have zero to little character development on MANY characters... The Shield has one and even then he does have a lot of character.
 
The actor's name who played Ronnie wasn't even put at the beginning of the episode with the others until the 5th season. Before that, he was put in with the special guests.

All I ask is for a brief return of Tavon. Even if he is just an extra walking around for a second, I'll take it.

it would be some sweet justice if Tavon was the one that came back in the final episode and killed Shane.

You need to work on your spin. I figured you'd try to use the "basically" cop-out.

I still can't fathom how you are trying to play these off as being similar. Cops were killed; that's the only similarity. One was a known rat. One was thought to be a rat. One was an outsider. One was a loyal friend that had saved them all at one point or another. One was actively trying to screw them; one was trying to take all the heat for himself to save the team. They weren't "basically" the same by any stretch of the imagination.

Both killings were horrendous and unjustifiable it's just that Lem's is more tragic because we all knew him and liked him as a character. Terry was just a little twerp.

i love how all the characters have myspaces. i could never remember the guys name so i called him beardo. i swear after the final episode, hes gonna be the last one standing.
 
The writing on this show has always been HBO quality. Tightest cop show for six straight years. Network stuff like 24 is miles below it.
 
I liked Kavanaugh, doesn't help that they've racked up the dickhead level on Vic lately.

Ronnie obviously doesn't trust the rest of the ST. Can't wait for the shit to hit the fan, it's usually the 3rd or 4th ep where things start getting crazy.
 
This was a fantastic episode. I liked it better than last week's even. Next week's episode looks phenomenal as well. The Shield can do no wrong.

It looks like Vic is finally going full-on into purely criminal territory. At one time, nearly everything he did had some selfless good to it even if the means were twisted. Since the Money Train, nearly everything he's done has been for himself or the team. He's on a downward spiral into pure criminality.

Superb episode. I knew Kavanaugh was going to burn for that evidence and was glad to see it happen.
 
What a crazy ass episode.

Something that I expeted that would happen later in the season with Kavanaugh now happened. I doubt that this is the last time we will see him. It would be hilarious if he got sent to be Antwon Mitchell's bunkmate.

Vic now is pretty emotional and seems to have lost almost all rationality. You know Vic is messed up if a reckless guy like Shane sounds like the voice of reason.

Much better than the first episode. I don't think the season can keep this awesome pace.

I also notice that the better Shield seasons are even numbers: 2, 4, and perhaps 6.
 
except season 1 was good too, and you know, last season was pretty phenominal too. Since it lead all up to this season.

I'd say Season 3 and 4 were, if you can consider it, the lower points of the seasons so far. And they were pretty damn good.

god, that pisses me off. such a major player and so many directions his character could have taken the show, and he obviously gets written out so early into this season. weak. sauce.

other then that though, kind of a dull episode. next weeks should be better though
 
I have no idea why people think Season 4 is anything less than ****ing awesome.

I still think Season 2 is the best. The limits they pushed on that season has yet to be recreated in its successor seasons.

Season 3's first half was boring. The second half was great though. Probably the weakest season and not surprisingly, its longest season (15 episodes).

Claudette's little speech she gave to Dutch makes me think the way this series will end is with a pyrrhic victory for her, where the Barn will get cleared out of all the corruption, but only through a bunch of high-profile deaths/arrests.

Wyms. Wow. She put the hammer down on that girl. I was hoping we would see some vintage Dutch that's been missing for a while where he used to do this kind of thing regularly. He's kind of snooping around but holding back.
 
I thought this one was 11 episodes. I don't care, as long as the remaining eight are as good as the first two, I'll survive...somehow :)

Wyms was awesome with her interrogation with Emolia, you are right. Probably my favorite captain. She's been burned by practically everyone and unlike the other Captains, she doesn't make everyone else suffer for it.

Regarding the amount of episodes this season, isnt the final episode is usually twice as long, or at least longer then the other eps?

I wasn't expecting Kav to go down so quickly this season, and Vic really does look like hes losing it. In a weird way i kinda feel sorry for Shane now, you can tell he really wants to stop Vic but whatever he does he's already ****ed.

Claudette and Dutch are just a tag team off ass kickery and Billings already providing the comic relief this season :lol
 
This episode was a ****ing 10/10.
From Vic going alone into Bizlat territory and taking the boss out with him.
To Kav getting taken down and then being at peace at the end of the ep.
Forest Whitaker and Michael Chiks are two of the best actors in the industry today.

One of the best hours of television ever.

damn i didn't expect Kavanaugh to go out like such a bitch. Guess he really just isnt as evil as Mackey. Vic is going batshit anyway, so maybe its best not to get in his way.
 
Just watched the episode.

Jesus Christ, Forest Whitaker is god!

One of the best ****ing actors around. When he came in and confessed in the interrogation room I had goosebumps.
 
Im finishing up on season 5 the best quote ever forest wiliker "What did he do to you" (refering to vic)
forest's wife "He made me cum" :lol :lol :lol
