Bad cell phone pics, but I finally washed my truck.

my dad has the same truck and he's an old fogey.

A few weeks back I bought a new Chevy Malibu. Payed a little over $20k for it. You can see my other car, a '76 Olds, in the background

The two-tone interior is pretty sweet for the money.

This was my first car, which I got 2 years ago. I sold it yesterday. I miss her.

Ironically the only wash I ever gave it was before I sold it, and I didn't realise it was so beautiful :(

My 1990 Mazda 626. The color was almost completely gone (turned pink instead of red) but a little bit (a fucking lot actually) of polishing worked like a charm.

\o/ Mazda.

Isn't that an MX6?

Nah, it looks a little shorter on the photo. This thing's been running forever, and you almost never have to fix anything. I'm trying to get it to 250k miles.

How would you rate this car by the way? I just recently bought it 3 weeks ago.

I like it but not as much as tribute. I think car is ok. I still don't like 2 door cars. It is headache for person sitting in the back seat especially old folks.

My old 1988 Nissan bluebird gt, I always thought it was one fugly car but for some reason peeps always commented on how nice it is. Great drive tho and regretted ever letting it go but spotty kids kept trying to nick it. Cheap can be cheerful to:)

I have a question for you guys... but I'm not sure that I can phrase it so that it doesn't sound inappropriate or simply retarded. But, with the added anonymity of the internet, I think I'll go ahead, etiquette be damned:

As a foreigner, I'm asking to those of you with some really nice (and brand new) cars: how much (very vaguely) are you guys making and how much are those cars over there? For example, from the bmw website, I see that an m3 sedan starts at 55k in the USA, so how much would you reckon you'd need to be earning to get a car like that? Obviously, that's a loaded and somewhat silly question, with many other variables at stake, but what I mean is what salary range befits a car like that in your opinion?

I ask not out of jealousy (well only a tad), but out of curiosity, especially as I myself will be transitioning over the next year or two into 'real' work (no more student stuff), and I know how much I'll be making quite precisely, and also that it translates to an extremely high starting salary here in New Zealand, which may not be rich, but certainly isn't a poor country, and I can't see myself getting a car like that in the near, or even more distant future. To be honest, I have no idea what people might budget for cars, though. Give me a hint!

Picked up my new car the other day, thought I'd share some pictures.

It's a 2010 Ford Falcon XR6 Turbo (Australian Car).

4.0L Inline 6 Motor, with 6 speed manual transmission.
362 Horsepower (270kW)
533nm Torque
0-100km/h (0-60mph) in 5.1 seconds
0-400m (1/4 Mile) in 13.2 seconds (though I've seen stock XR6T's doing high 12's with a good launch)

It's got amazing features, dual zone climate control, awesome stereo system, bluetooth, iPod/iPhone connectivity, screen (Ford Control Centre lol) in middle of dash, and another control centre in with the gauges. It's nice and quiet (my last car was a noisy V8), smooth to drive, much better at handling and if I put my foot down it absolutely hauls ass, or burns the tyres depending on which gear I'm in.

It has a 5 year warranty on it at the moment, so no modifications to speak of... but when I get bored with it, they're good for 500-600hp with an $800 flash tune - without damaging engine internals (at least not straight away).

Most importantly, my wife is happy with it - though she can't drive manual - she prefers the quieter, softer ride over my previous V8 Falcon and loves the power delivery (533nm available from 1950rpm to 6500rpm - crazy).

I got rid of the car a little while ago. Was my favorite car I ever had. I still have the motor I just can't find a clean car to put it for a decent price. The only reason I got rid of it is as I got older I realized AC is awesome so are power locks and power windows. Power steering isn't a bad thing either. I still loved that car though.

My baby girl Olga buried under snow.

..but unfortunately Olga has become stale and im looking for a new gal.

Looking at the Wrx STI or Evo X.

Anyone have experience with either one?

Such a beautiful car man.
Piece of advice; try not to get the base unless you plan on adding a LSD. I installed the Nissan 1.5 way LSD on my base and it's a night and day difference. Car feels like it has so much more traction with both the rear wheels driving it. One wheel burnouts aren't fun.

@akachan ningen
I've got black rims and black tail lights now! Although the lights had just been done when I took those pics. They're more cherry red now.

not going to talk about salary, but you don't need to buy these new, or outright. I've leased, and bought used (for M3s always under approved used BMW for the warranty). My M3 was about 4 years old at the time I think, and about £20k. My current Z4 coupe was about the same. Basically now I've dealt with the initial upfront cost, I just have to fund the inevitable depreciation to stay in approximately the same price bracket.

Just got a Hyundai Accent SE 3-Door on Friday. LOVE IT. I'll post more shots when I take 'em.

I realized today that I have no Sunglasses Holder with Map Lights, although the window sticker says it's included on my car. I called my salesperson asking if I could set up an appointment to get them installed, and he didn't believe me. (Told me, "Sit in the car. Look above your rear view mirror. Those are your map lights." I said, "There is nothing there.") So I have to take it over to Glendale Hyundai tomorrow before work to prove to them there is no cubby/light unit, and try to get them to install them for me since I am paying for a feature I don't have. It's never easy, is it?

even though the brand new accent is only months away? that's the car I'm holding out for. all the buzz is that it's gonna be the shit and totally destroys the ford fiesta which is already a great car.

1) I didn't know the 2012 was going to be completely redesigned until after I got it
2) I looked at some spy shots when I found out and it looks ugly as sin to me
3) Anything, ANYTHING is better then the car I was driving. (2000 Mercedes-Benz SLK 230, was in a wreck before I bought it, they fixed it off the record to keep it off the CarFax, I was left with a fucking heap for almost 3 years. Top stopped working after 3 months, problems out the ass, I got fucked. HARD. This car is like an angel sent from Heaven to me in comparison)

Edit: Just refreshed my memory, I have really particular taste in car looks and their functionality. I like the 2011 Accent Hatchback because it's not a 4-door sedan with a hatchback, it's a 2-Door almost-coupe with a hatchback. It can seat 4, but it's not all about seating 4. The 2012 Accent hatchback is a 4-door sedan, with a hatch back. The front looks alright to me, but I hate the back, it looks like a Prius. Only real draws of the 2012 VS the 2011 are higher MPG by a bit, and slightly more horsepower. Otherwise, I'm perfectly happy with my 2011 3-Door :)

Since I'm driving now (yes, I'm in high school), we've been looking for a third family car. I can't believe we ended up getting this:

2007 VW Jetta 2.5 (Black, it looks a little blue in the pics)
53k Miles
After-market body kit, exhaust, head/tail lights, spoiler, and grill.

So good. We just picked it up after school today, and I just drove it around for two hours.

These are the only pics I have of it for now:

I'd say it's pretty sweet. Much better than my Mom's mini-van or my Dad's truck. I can't thank them enough.

posting this in the CORRECT thread now....

Just picked this up yesterday afternoon. As i said in the other thread, its nothing special, but its definitely the nicest car I've owned so far.

2004 Infiniti G35 5AT Sedan

A tad older, but not many miles on it and it was cheap. Really glad I didn't have to finance a $20k+ car. Haven't had a car payment since 1999, and like to keep it that way!

Really nice, I like it! Can you get rid of the orange lights though or are they mandatory in the US? It would look great if you get them in white and darken the windows :D

BMWs sure are pretty. I'd have considered one if they weren't such maintenance cost nightmares. Then again if they weren't such maintenance cost nightmares, they would have all been out of my price range anyways! I figured the Infiniti G was the next-best thing to a 3series.

Man, it's been a long time I'd seen these pictures and this car is still awesome. Love it!
me too, actually. It's even faster than the factory claims, had it past 250km/h per GPS.

Edit: At the moment, it's on crappy winter tires with steel rims :(.

Thanks, glad you like it ^_^

Unfortunately, I think the side lights are required. I am planning on having the windows tinted however. That, and upgrading the stereo. Once I have the money, that is.

I think my favorite part of the car is the exhaust:

The Flip camera audio really doesn't do it justice, but you get the idea.

posted these before I think can't remember where though

Welcome to Team NISMO-GAF! I recently got new clearly corners for my G but it's not a worthy enough upgrade to warrant new pictures. When I get some rims and my front grill powder coated I will probably take a few.

Since we're posting cars, I thought I'd post my new baby. First time buying a brand new car, came off the lot with 8 miles on it after test driving. Before setting my eyes on the Cruze, I was looking into a Ford Focus, I think I made a good call.

The Cruze is really growing on me. Originally I thought it looked like a Korean knockoff of the Malibu. Like Chevrolet handed a picture of the Malibu to Daewoo and said "Here, make a smaller version of this." But from what I've heard it's a pretty good car. I see yours is an LT. It comes with the turbo 1.4L then, right? How does it run?

That exhaust vid was real nice, I like the deep rumbling sound! The tinted windows will look awesome :)

The sound of your exhaust surprised me. Wasn't expecting that from a Jetta. Sounds good and looks good too. If you don't mind, show us some pics of the interior.

You know, i actually prefer the stock orange corners to clear ones for some reason.
