That's the thing. I don't want the current R-spec. I want the fictional next-gen Genesis Coupe to be about 3200# with the R-spec V8 in it. I'll be honest when I say that I really just want a 400+ HP non-Mustang V8 coupe to run tunnels at 5K RPM and dorifto in parking lots with for my own amusement that still has the creature comforts I've becoime accustomed to.

As for your paper, focusing on recovering from the C3/4 dreary years is the big part of the Corvette legacy. Hopefully you spent a little time on motorsport and engineering as marketing. :)
 
Haha. I followed some guy in a Lamborghini on the interstate the other day. I donno what model is was, and I have no doubt he could have left me in the dust - but seeing as how there wasn't enough room for him to go crazy fast... Needless to say, I don't do that in my Corolla :P
 
I love this thread. I've never seen so many diverse amount of car enthusiasts, with good tastes I may add, in one thread.

I had to focus on the demographics and how the Corvette is currently sold and how's it doing in the market. I was surprised to find the Corvette under the "luxury sports car" segment for one auto industry source. I understand Porsche to be their main competitor but Corvette's a luxury in a different manner, say for the middle and upper middle class.

A C3 has about the same or less horsepower as my car right now lol and that's pretty sad.

Since this pic, she's had a mild smoke on the heads/tails, a 25% tint and a K&N drop-in, but none of these things make her go faster. She still makes me smile... Every. Goddamned. Day.

If I'm totally honest, all of my stupid driving is done when nobody else is sharing the road with me. It's enough to slice through traffic with a decisive instrument that also happens to have heated leather seats and a kick-ass stereo most days - you have nothing to prove because Joe Fucknozzle in his 'Z71, yo' has all the performance potential of a rusty thimble compared to your car. Just drive safe and save the showdowns for worthy opponents on an empty road.

That said, I like trucks too, but pickup drivers seem really keen to race out of their league for some reason, so it's worth mentioning.

All that said, love your car and love driving. If you hate driving, do the rest of us a favor and do something else - you are literally the problem.

You guys are the bomb, if only because I want the HGC faithful to stand up so proudly. They insist on replacing their H badges with the Genesis wings. Some of us drive our yellow cars with totally pedestrian badging proudly, tho. :P

Man, all these car pics are making me jelly. I love my E46 sedan and all but it's giving me such headaches lately. Just had one of my tires slashed so there goes $125, I finally diagnosed the problem with my headlights and need to pay another $50 there to fix it, etc etc. This is what I get for buying aftermarket upgrades.

The car is a 3rd generation 06 Mazda Miata, but this is a 3rd Generation Limited Edition which has a 6 speed manual tranny, soft top, LSD, Bilstein shocks, chrome trim on almost everywhere, exclusive Red Velocity Mica paint and special "sharkfin" wheels. The special part about it is that the 3rd Gen LE's are the first cars to come out of Mazda's factory in Hiroshima, only 3000 were built(with 750 units sent to the US) and mine happens to be the 95th car.

The only thing I really hate/love about the car is that I can't drive it lazily or it'll bitch and retaliate at you lol. The clutch demands such precise input and anytime you drive lazily, you're gonna look like you don't know how to drive stick. -__-

Other than that... top down + backroads + oversteer = fun fun fun. :D

Here's my beat up old '83 Porsche 944 that's eventually going to be a 944 Spec car. Right now I've got the interior stripped, the hood off and I'm prepping the engine and transmission for removal. Unfortunately I'm going to have to take a grinder to pretty much every fucking bolt on the exhaust. Thanks for the rust, Ohio!

That does look great. I actually don't much care for the interior from that generation of BMWs but the right color combination can save the day.

Just picked up a 04 PT Cruiser GT today. Fun little car to have a turbocharger on. Having a fun time teaching the Gf how to drive a stick lol, stop go stall repeat.
