damn him and those fuckin NDA's. Im putting my money on Zelda
guesses:
Note the look of determination as I play this game. What could possibly require this much focus?
some new brain training.

Wow, I look absolutely freaked out with this one. Could this be the real Nintendo DS killer app running on the screens?
phantom hourglass.

Not sure how to rate this one. It's either intense concentration, or I'm about ready to cut one. Or both.
?

Something so good that the camera just can't focus on the action. I must've needed the headphones for something...
cheer squad or whatever ouendan is going to be called outside japan.

I would like to note that in only ONE of those games is he using the stylus.

So, that means something.

I uh.. just haven't figured it out yet :)

No BT? Besides, he isn't holding any of the DSs sideways

Well one thing I figured especially after unveiling Phantom hourglass at GDC.

It seems like their e3 presentation will be very very Rev focused. And not broken down like 3 ways as much but could just be me.

sadly they still havent announced Lite for US.

Ouendan, english version. Please.

Exactly my first thought. There aren't many games where using headphones would be a big deal, and unless we're talking an unannounced game, the two big possibilities would be Ouendan and Band Brothers. At that point, the use of the stylus points to only one game.

I'm sure you're upset... you already have one :)
yea :lol I dont want them to waste time at the conferene on something ive already had for a while. Mabye if they come out with a different color... hmm

they don't actually have a scoop, so they drum up interest in their shitty sites by posting inflammatory rumors/promises of megatons on their personal blogs. seems to be working.

Oh. Is that mentioned anywhere? Nintendo can still show off third party games at their own conferences right?

DON'T DASH MY HOPES OF ANOTHER KICKASS CASTLEVANIA GAME

Seriously, DoS is my favorite Castlevania game ever :lol

Hmmm! This could be it, I mean I can't really think of anything else that needs headphones; unless obviously it's something we've never seen at all before.

Damn him and those pictures. >:(

I doubt there's something else (there is Jam with the Band, but that doesn't use the stylus), and why wouldn't they show it at a point where a release in North America is confirmed? ;)

The blog made it pretty clear what games he was playing.

Big Brain Academy
New Super Mario Bros
Zelda: Phantom Hourglass
Ouendan

Zelda uses the stylus though.

And ant, BBA doesn't play like Brian Training: meaning, it's held like you usually hold your DS.

I dont think theyre old games comeing to America at all. I think Parish meant Suprises as in New games.

Cheer Squad is old? It was already confirmed to be released over here by The Colonel. And who is Parish?

This doesn't take me any closer to playing those other games, though. I guess it's hard to work up escape velocity once you've fallen into the gravity well of a particular gaming habit (portable gaming in my case). Tonight's not going to help, that's for certain -- Nintendo is conducting a media event which, I'm told, will focus entirely on DS games.

Of course, that begs the question: what DS games can it focus on? Brain Age is out tomorrow, and this is a more E3-oriented event. That leaves New Super Mario Bros., Magnetica, Big Brain Academy and Sudoku Gridmaster, which is a pretty pitiful showing for an event like this. Which leaves the possibility of... new games. Legendary Stafy 4 is, erm, pretty much guaranteed to be out of the running. Phantom Hourglass is a good bet. Maybe Wario Thief? Nintencats? Me, I'm going to shake my tiny fists in anger is there's no Metroid Dredd/Dread/Dred. I know I wasn't hallucinating that pre-E3 2005 release list, dammit, and now that Hunters is they're free to offer us up a real Metroid sequel. Dammit. DAMN DAMMITY DAMN DREDD

Edit: Double-dammity, nothing Metroid at all. However, there were some pretty cool surprises that I'm not allowed to talk about until a very long time from now. Although come to think of it I never actually signed the NDA... but since I don't want to be banned from all future Nintendo events, I think I'll keep the revelations under my hat until the proper time.

from last night

O yea and why the hell would they make em sign NDA's on games already announced for US and that have already been played and previewed? doesnt make sence for Big Brain and NSMB.

Not for moving around though right? I thought stylus was for boomerang, ship, maps etc. never heard of it being used to actually move Link. It's possible he was just exploring so didn't have the stylus out... oh I don't know.

I think it's pretty obvious in the Phantom Hourglass vid that Link was following the direction at which the fairy was moving...and the fairy was pretty obviously being controlled using the stylus.

Also, the further away the fairy was from link, the faster he ran, and the fairy flies in a circle the instant before Link performs a spin attack...

Come on, people.
