You should be hoping that the Wii controller scheme works really well. Otherwise you might as well be playing it on any other platform.

Unless the Wii has some cool feature I dont know about yet, like a helmet.

i wonder if this collection will be put on the virtual console system?
It says specifically it will use gestures with the remote and takes full advantage of the controller.

Sorry but every other platform has to, as of yet have EVERY SINGLE METAL SLUG GAME ON ONE DISC.

PS: This is SNK's first foray into Nintendo consoles in like FOREVER.

HUGE.

hopefully. i loved Excitebike 64. but Nintendo would never please us with good old franchises like excitebike, ice climbers and kid icarus :(

its probably wave race... with more realistic water effects.

Though it's nice to have all of them on one disc.

You have to wonder how much cheaper this would be on Virtual Console. Buying them separately would be more cost effective. Instead of paying $50.

Yeah...I don't think people realize...this is big.

Where did he say this?

I can see an Excitebike now...

Hold the remote horizontally with one hand. Twist it forward to accelerate, relax your twist to slow down. And obviously, twist your wrist left or right to turn.

It's real preliminary, but whatever.

Wow. If 50% of that list is within launch window I think it's safe to say the :

Wii launch >>>>>> Gamecube Launch >>>> N64 launch

.....not to mention 360 launch ahem *runs away

Looks like it would work pretty well. I'm curious about how they're going to implement Mario and what will be different about it.

I can't believe we're only 8 days out from some answers :D

I hope those developers Matt mentioned have tightened up their controls or at least added a sensitivity adjustment to the options.. Nintendo can't afford to have any missteps using the FHC on the show floor, I don't think.

Could someone explain the significance of the SNK support? i.e. what franchises they make that have sold really well historically?

Samurai Showdown was on SNES, I believe that was the last Nintendo console game they made? Recently there was talk of bringing MS 4 & 5 to GCN and they brought some to GBA.

Thanks for correcting me, I saw that earlier on this or another thread. But I guess it has been a long time since there has been SNK support on a Nintendo console at least.

hey ant, do you own any other systems besides a gc and ds?
:D yea lol. I know i bring myself out as a giant nintendo fanboy(which i am:D ), but truth be hold my favorite system last gen is ps2. I also got a 360 at launch which i sadly had to wait all night outside a fuckin Bestbuy for(and it happened to be the coldest night in S.Florida that night too... seriously, wtf?) Oh yea, im also getting a ps3 at launch, and really hyped to see it at e3 but i find little to talk about right now on ps3 especially since we know a lot about it already. Also another reason why im super hyped for Wii; Mario 128 is my most anticpated game ever. Always has been since I beat Super mario 64 when i was 6. And now that theres rumblings it might be at e3 and for wii at launch. It instantly makes it the best launch for mi(and im afraid thats a nintendo fanboy works. :) )

I took a page from the book of GAKMAN and decided to make my own blueprint for what I think the helmet will look like.

When did we learn about this?
I don't think we did, I think that's extrapolation from something a Capcom employee said in an interview. Unless more was said later, people shouldn't assume it's an actual game in production.

Ethelred, there's still a lot of speculation in the Nintendo section of your list.

The NST FPS has been brought up several times, most recently in an IGN podcast.

Talent Studio is Stage Debut, I believe, which was supposed to be a GC game.

the Camelot project has been a rumor for over a year now.

Right before Resident Evil DS came out, I believe the director or producer stated that they were developing a survival horror game for the Revolution. I'll look for the actual interview again, but it seemed a pretty solid confirmation to me.

EDIT: Here's the link to the RE: DS interview: http://www.jeux-france.com/articles_dossiers243_resident-evil-ds.html

He says in the very last question that at the moment, his team is working on a Revolution game outside of the Resident Evil series.

Most of the games in that list came from the recent IGN news/podcasts where they commented on a number of games that they knew were going to be at E3 or were otherwise in development. The Camelot thing is old news, as unifin said. If you think one of those titles is too speculative, let me know, and I can take it out of the list.

I would like to bet marionette shows up in some form as a tech demo using two wiimotes. They talked that shit up a lot a few years ago and it disappeared along with talk of GCs "life extending peripheral".

I expect miyamoto to make a cute chibi mario toy dance to life on screen using wiimotes like puppet handles. maybe fight off some baddies in rag doll kung fu style.

edit: I don't expect it to be playable on the floor or ever be released as software. think submarine game on DS

Yep, they had the advertisement requesting more staff for a "new RPG on Nintendo's new console" in Famitsu last year back before they released Mario Tennis on GBA.

Confirmed software lists should be made up of ONLY confirmed software. If you add Camelot RPG or talent Studio, you better add a Brownie Brown game too, and then add... I mean, what´s the meaning of a "confirmed software list" where half the names are speculation?

How is the Camelot thing a rumor? They've said they're working on an RPG for Nintendo's next console. That seems like confirmation.

Nothing similar has happened with Brownie Brown. Brownie Brown was working on a GCN RPG, and there's good reason to think they ported it to the Wii... but that's speculative.

Talent Studio was on the list I based my list off of; I don't know what the justification was for including it originally, so I'm fine with removing it.

Not really

However, a Camelot "Help Wanted" ad placed in the latest issue of Japan's Famitsu Magazine this week suggests that the studio's next RPG will be for a next-generation system, very likely Revolution.

Well, here's what Neo said when the news first came out:

neo2046 said:
for those who like to know
Camelot's new RPG is for nintendo's Next gen console
it is confirmed at the interview (printed in the same issue of Famitsu as the Ad Jonny posted)

Here's where it's located:
http://www.neogaf.com/forum/printthread.php?t=36196&pp=100

Considering that neo read the interview and the actual advertisement and is solid on Japanese news, I'm considering this solid confirmation.

P.S. does it really matter if i post anything of importance? this whole thread had like 2 new stories and tons of bullshit posts.
