I didn't like that comment from the 1up guy's blog refering to the FPS controls. Because everyone who played the FPS demo last year and this year said it worked perfectly.Same with Red Steel.

Seriously. I'm surprised that the amount of information coming from anyone (Nintendo, developers, interns, janitors) is almost non-existent.
 
yeah i think with best buy employees now feeding us bullshit its about time for me to ignore everything that isnt an official announcement up until the show. half announcements about games on the quality level of pilotwings are ok though ; )
 
I know matt's blog update was mentioned here before but here's the entire update:

Publisher Eidos today reiterated a story we wrote last month that Tomb Raider: Legend is coming to GameCube. A DS version is also planned. Apparently, some websites have misinterpreted this release as a confirmation that a Wii version of Legend is also in development.

It isn't.

I chatted with Eidos about it this morning. Legend is only coming to GameCube. No Wii version is planned.

However, Eidos will announce later this week that it will be supporting Nintendo's Wii console and therefore we're very likely to see the next Tomb Raider title on it. Good news all around.

So it's NOT legends that will be on the Wii but rather a new installment. I HOPE TO GOD THEY MAKE HITMAN on the Wii.

It's an Internet full of addicts. They feed on scraps of information. The second E3 closes, they'll be looking for their next meal, their next info-fix. In the endless quest for knowledge, there is no climax and no closing credits.

To date, NTS hasn't made an original game on there own. Everything has been based on an exsisting brand (RR64, MvDK, WRBS, 1080, MPH, etc...)

So what other franchises does Nintendo have that would make a decent FPS?

HITMAN was one of the first franchises I imagined working on Wii. The controller is literally perfect for the title and expansion of the concept imo. If the attachment also has motion detection functions, using the razorwire could be an extremely satsifying mechanic! :D

They have to make an exclusive build of Hitman for Wii

maybe metroid hunters ? personaly i hope not but i guess it's an option. A new ip whould be best epecialy with all the new talent they are signing on.

35 mins of Brain Training and how its a smashing success in Japan
10 mins of sales and numbers
5 mins for DS/Lite videos and announcements
5 mins for the GBA and GCN
3 mins for the new Zelda TP trailer
2 mins for the Wii.

oh you just wait!!!

but what do i know? ;) if Iwata wants to live he wont do that.

After seeing how badly geist was received and how badly it bombed, it seems kind of tough for nintendo to support another installment in the series. Having said that, I enjoyed the unique aspects of the first one and tend to think if n-space was given the chance and some recources to make the 2nd one it could turn out pretty good. At this point though, we'll just have to wait and see what comes of it.

ONLY 1 MORE WEEK!:D

Sorry guys. I thought we were good, but I got doubly owned: first because I mocked Bozon's hype thread only to have mine blow-up even worse and second because this story was good to go and then got pulled on me.

What I will say is that there is a cool game coming and it's unexpected. Uh, not a lot to go on, I know. But we're less than a week away now.

i keep hearing on the ign board it might be Half-life related (based on the izza good hint). Is there a character in hl2 with an accent like that?

No, but plenty of characters from Italian Mob movies probably would...
 
It's-a Mario Pilotwings. Everything will take place inside the Hotel stage of Super Mario Sunshine, and Mario will shout out "wahoo" and "yippie" whenever change the angle of the controller by one degree.
 
better than blizzard and not nintendo? Could only be a high profile game like MGS and the RE series. My bet it's something big from Capcom.

When sequels to individual franchises won't cut it anymore, we will make a sequel for the entire company.
 
In an unprecedented move, half of Nintendo's software division has split from the company and announced third party support for Wii. An impressive coup.
