So the alpha almost *%&@ed up my PS4. I tried to play once, it froze and I got kicked to the main menu. Tried again, it froze with a black screen and the menu music playing. I couldn't reboot, go to the main menu, nothing. The PS4 didn't respond. So I unplugged it from the outlet. Restarted in security mode and tried to rebuild database. Ok, rebooted the ps4, tried again... crashed hard again. I honestly thought my PS4 was dying. I decided to delete the application and I'm downloading again now.

We're not sure what this problem is as it hasn't shown up here, it could be a conflict between the firmware update that happened last week and something in our code. (we were testing on the previous firmware)
Anyway, the patch to fix the occasional loading crash that people are seeing goes out soon, maybe tomorrow if the stars align.
Make a rare limited retail release edition and I will pay infinite dollars
I want to like this game, but the art style freaks me the fuck out :x
Still, I hope this game does well.
We'll take any emotion we can get..
it's better than apathy!![]()
Managed to win myself a code on one of the livestreams today! Anyone know when the alpha ends?
After watching a bit of Giantbomb's quick look, I'm starting to think I'm doing it wrong when it comes to carrying up stuff. I hate when I run out of tools when digging around, so I'm always carrying two of each of the three primary tools, two jetpacks (after dying once to a fading structure and running out of fuel), a jackhammer, a flashlight and a shotgun just in case. Plus whatever I come across on chests, and since I sort of memorized where half of them are I find a lot of stuff.
I can't remember the last time I could actually run. I'd have to ditch all but three tools to go back to full speed, so I said screw it and went full pack rat.
Enemy turret?pro-tip (or just unaccented positive) kill the enemy turret and use a shovel from the top, you'll get at least 5x more gems
Anyone else having issues logging right now?
Only managed to beat the loading screen once out of 10 times, and I ended up in a town where my actions just wouldn't register - shots didn't do damage, cutting a tree only ended a minute later when I died after it got dark.
The ones found on the island. They shoot sparks that hurt youEnemy turret?
Ah, right on.The ones found on the island. They shoot sparks that hurt you
There's a silent JP streamer called transientblue who's quite good. Worth checking out. Also the Quick look is the worse thing to judge things on since Brad didn't know even the simplest things or how to mine the coal by using the camera
the frequency of monster attack seems to be tied to how developed the town is. But it's still random(?) with a minimum cooldownI apparently received an invite to this, but I'm completely lost. I have no clue what I'm supposed to be doing. I chose the combatant class thinking it was a no brainer (shoot stuff...how can that be difficult?), took a train to a giant head, dug through it a bit, rearranged the glowing furniture inside, then mysteriously died from some unknown force.
Never once got to shoot anything.
10/10, would mine head again.
Anyone else having issues getting past the loading screen? Had to start a new game every time I launched the game, but now that doesn't even work.
The art direction is amazing but something about the style just made me really uncomfortable. Not in a way of being offended or anything like that, just more like... uneasy or even a bit creeped out. I get that it isn't a horror game, not exactly, but I think it's a terrific case of how art design can set a particular mood. I'm not sure if the game is for me as I found it a little confusing, but it's an alpha, so my eye is definitely on it.
Trying my hardest to reach that impossible lv50 DylanI hit 18 and if I didn't lose my firs character I might have been rank 25
Cool. Another skill to master! ^^move forward and jump/throw![]()
I actually kinda like it. It gives you a sense of isolation in a busy environment. Really, my only complaint about it is that it leads to a lot of duplication of effort. For example, trying to pick up a crystal someone else already picked up, trying to pick up the one next to it, and finding it's already gone too. After watching some more footage i gotta say i really dislike the way other players are presented in the word, i dunno if it's a design decision or a server issue or what but i don't like it at all. Besides that this game looks pretty good but i still don't know exactly what it is.
Okay, this is a huge problem. We've got a griefer in our town who keeps shooting up all of the building with RPGs or whatever. He basically destroys the town before the other 18 players on the server can even get things running, causing us all to respawn in a fresh town with the same damned griefer. ><
It's cool that they keep populations together, but with no Gulag in place, we have no way to be rid of this schmuck. We vote him down, which reduces is "pay," but no one is getting paid anyway because the first thing he does is destroy Labor.
Seriously, in all the streams I've watched, I've never actually seen a town lost to the void, and we've been through six or eight just in the last few hours.
It's Broly443. Get him, Dylan! Please!! <3
Raptor Vision increases your chances to see the money on the ground also Coupons will start to drop as wellSo, I've deduced that being productive causes extra money to drop on the ground nearby. Indeed, I'd collected over 800 Freeman Dollars in the first couple of hours of working on my orchard. So, sweet.
Then I got the Raptor Vision perk, which allows you to find Ration Coupons on the ground as well. Do RC drop instead of FD? I ask because after I got the perk, over the next couple of hours of work, I earned less than 200 FD. Quite a difference.
So if RC are replacing FD, may I humbly suggest they don't? Yes, the extra RC are nice, but I can already earn them directly. On the other hand, Freeman Dollars dropped on the ground represent my only access to the Black Market, so cutting their drop rate by a factor of four or five for a few extra rations seems like a heavy price to pay.
Or am I just a victim of RNG here? lol
