I didn't know it got fps boost, but since it was already 60fps in framerate mode does that mean it's 120fps now on XSX? Or is it just pushing the resolution mode up to 60?
Before the frame rate boost it was only near 60fps in framerate mode but it reduced resolution. Now it is running 4k/60fps. I believe it was 1080p/60fps prior to the frame rate boost.

Red dead redemption 2 on a xbox one x no question.

Going by the above gif....soon to be ratchet and clank!

Right now it`s a tie between TLOU2 and Demon`s Souls imho. While DS is technically superior, TLOU2 just has incredible asset quality and diversity.
Not sure how good R&C will really look in comparison.

I'm not trolling here but I have to say that I've been playing Mad Max on Series X with Auto HDR and FPS boost and I can't remember last time I was so wowed with artistic direction in a game. It's truly a sight to behold. The dust storms, the fires, it's all just incredible visually.

This game so needs a fucking sequel...

Total package visuals, scope and destruction.

Battlefield.

Lots of games look good in images, quick video snippets or canned QTE kinds of scenes. But watch BF clips on a pimped out PC or next gen system with tons of vehicles, players and buildings getting blown up, and it looks the best hands down.

I'll name a few that wowed me personally,

Art style: Super Mario Odyssey
Graphics: Gears 5/Hivebusters on Series X
Facial animations/details: TLOU2
World/environment: RDR2

Best overall game with all of the above:

Uncharted 4, this game still looks like a masterpiece and it's 5 years old. I don't own a PS5 but I got a PS4, Switch and Series X. And of all games I played Uncharted 4 is still king imho

I think Destiny 2 takes the 1st place for me. The artistic direction is on point. I mean just look at these short videos.

Playing this on a Series X HDR 60fps 4K and 65" finally gives the Bungie art the stage it deserves. For all the positives and negatives around D1 & D2 no one can objectively say this isn't a contender for best looking art in a console game. So much fun exploring these worlds with your buddies...and shoot bad dudes in the face with guns'n'space magic.

1. Demons Souls
2. RDR 2
3. Last of us 2
4. God of War
5. Order 1886

Rift Apart and Forbidden West about to blow the competition out the water. Won't just be best console games but best looking games period. By far.

Red Dead Redemption 2. It looks like Flight Sim could take the crown, but we'll have to see how the console edition holds up.

I think Ori was beautiful and the new Ratchet looks beautiful too. But it is hard to compare these types of games to games that aim for realism.

Ratchet and Clank looks miles ahead of anything I've ever seen before.

Anyone comparing Horizon to an offline render has a screw loose IMO but Ratchet...we're getting there for sure.

Gears V looks quite good on the XSX. Hivebusters the same. They are probably among the best looking games on console. Cyberpunk 2077, despite all the issues, looks pretty decent on the XSX as well.

BF 5 on Xbox One X is definitely up there.

For sure. I was just watching a video the other day from Jackfrags I think and it had BF3 clips in there. Game is almost 10 years old but it amazes me how damn good it still looks on PC. I'm really looking forward to DICE revealing the next Battlefield. I think these new consoles are going to reintroduce people to how stunning a Battlefield game is on good hardware.
