I get that and he definitely blew it. My point is that there was no reason for Kenny and Rebecca to still be sitting by themselves in the open when the observatory was already cleared as a good spot. They could have been already there, safe and sound. Granted, this would not allow Jane and Luke to bump some uglies but should have been where everyone was.

They agreed to meet up at the place where they were. All three locations were part of the civil war museum.

There was no reason for them to have not moved Rebecca to the place Clem and Jane scouted though. Luke and Kenny should have been doing that while Clem went to the museum or whatever. (Where the other two morons were standing around doing nothing when water was like 5 feet away from them). Jane was very right that this is not a group that's savable.

They didn't want to move Rebecca if they didn't have to, and Luke and Jane were supposed to be prepping it for Rebecca, then come and get them when the observation deck was ready. Remember that Jane was still trying to get it open when you left. They were waiting for the go ahead.

So basically what happened was you leave Jane while she's getting things ready, Luke goes to check up on her, they get the deck ready then get freaky instead of going to tell Kenny and Rebecca, Clem tells Kenny that they found a place and that they're still getting it ready, museum stuff, the herd that Luke was supposed to be patrolling for shows up, they head to the observation deck anyway, hijinks ensue.
 
This episode was a little fucked up lol.

I was pretty much majority choices as usual except I shot Rebecca at the end, she's already dead and the baby would be in more danger...wonder what happens next since those other gunshots didn't sound good.

I felt bad for robbing Arvo once I got to the end. :(

I really liked Jane but apparently Luke did either hahahaa.
 
Lol I only just finished episode 3 ain't gonna read responses till I finish the last episode available but I just want to say how funny I find it that season 1 was all about protecting clem and now I've made her watch and do all this badass shit. Now she's clem willis. Fuck yeah.


Edit: just finished episode 4. So best character of this whole season left. Jesus I liked jane. Practical, street smart, and helpful. Anti-hero if I ever saw one. Shame she was smart enough to ditch us.

Finished ep4 last night. Just 1 question:

I saved Sarah in the, I guess it was an office. Had to slap her in the face to snap her out of it. Then towards the end of the episode when the deck falls, you have to choose to save Sarah or Jane. I picked Jane. What happens if you pick Sarah?

edit: bullshit that I didn't rob Arvo of his meds but he came back and was all "they robbed me!" anyway. He must have been referring to the gun but it was total bullshit

she may have already been living a year or two in the prison where the Governor drove out Rick and his crew. And just so you know, she was the one who (accidentaly?) gunned down Lori and the baby. And then complained tot he Governor after that.

I just finished the episode and I just don't understand how less then 50% of players chosen not to shoot Rebecca. I mean she was going to eat the baby!!!

Upon the release of the The Road to Woodbury novel, which features a different back-story for Lilly than the video game, the developer Telltale Games removed from the official website all references to Lilly being the same character from the comic series. Also, the in-game achievement that displays when Lilly leaves the group was changed from "Woodbury bound" to "What now?"

It's strange. Finally caught up with this Season, and I just feel kind of hollow. The supporting cast this go around I don't feel anything for- like I loved Lee, and these people just don't do it for me. The grisly (much deserved in my opinion) beat down of Carver I made Clem stay and watch- I thought maybe we were losing any humanity we had left. But after all the suffering, all the terrible things these survivor groups did to one another, it didn't affect me one bit. And I almost felt her facial expressions showed the same thing.

Kenny has been losing his god damned mind throughout the entire season, and the Sarita bit was just icing on the cake. Even seeing him again, I just kind of groaned. It was nice to see a familiar face, but I didn't get along with him much even in Season 1. I liked Jane- the lone wolf trope is tiring, but at least I felt some sense of loyalty to her. She was a survivor- no nonsense, practical, logical, cold, calculating- and then the past about her sister and giving up- feeeels. The Luke relationship seemed totally half-hearted, even if it was a hook up that led to the death of Sarah and the horde of walkers! Ugh, Sarah. It was one of those things where I picked choices that were meant to be nice to her up to the point where she fell off the deck. And in that moment, I helped Jane up and kind of felt a sigh of relief. Like thank goodness, one burden has been lifted. I kind of enjoyed slapping the hell out of her to try to get her to move.

And Rebecca and the baby dilemma- ehhhhh. She tried to be nicer as we continued, but I still felt cold around her. Top that off with Bonnie, and I just don't like any of these people. Mike seems nice, but we hardly know him. The whole "do it for the group" mentality just doesn't feel right. It's makeshift group of terrible people, and no one seems to have any direction. Everyone relies on Clem to go through all the most dangerous tasks, and they still don't have any cohesion.

I'm hoping that she escapes, and everyone else dies. I shot Rebecca, and didn't think twice. She was about eat her baby, and I was kind of hoping Arvo and his crew killed some of the people in the group. I'm enjoying it, but I'm ready for this season to end!

Kenny is a bit irrational at times, but he always comes around OK on the other side. He endures a ton of pain yet still pushes it aside and comes through for the group. That's Kenny. You love him or hate him. I love him. He's my bro and I'm sticking with him 'til the end.
 
There was really no point to the Sarah character. I was at least hoping that she would at one point handle a gun and help defend the group from the walkers. Otherwise why was there a pop up when you teach her how to hold a gun. "You taught Sarah to defend herself" The payoff never occurred so what was the point?

Also in general when it says "so and so will remember what you said." It occurs nearly every other third dialog choice and yet the consequences of those dialog choices rarely has any meaning because many times that character dies in the same episode.

Until this episode, I've been enjoying season two and could look past the game's limitations, but this episode didn't have any redeeming factors to make up for those limitations.
 
Yeah, I've always hated the "*insert character here* will remember this, but it won't matter because they'll die later regardless of what you do and the prompt is only to deceive you into thinking that they're going to be a core character.

Hmm i would say the whole point of Sarahs character is to illustrate two things that are very similar to one another. One point is that there is no point in trying to hide people away from the world that is out there, there is no way that people can live the normal lives they used to have and so you must teach people to defend themselves in this new world

And her main purpose in my eyes is kind of as a example of what clementine could of ended up as ( e.g a girl clueless of the world outside, and utterly inept to defend herself due to her father shielding her ). Had Lee not decided to teach clementine and show her both how to survive and to view the world, clementine could of easily have ended up as defenseless as Sarah.
 
This season sure has been brutal so far. Characters getting killed off left and right, lots of red herring decisions, no real connection with many of the supporting cast since they'll likely just die anyway... Tsk

I feel like this season would be a lot better if I actually cared about anyone in the group.
 
One thing I really noticed watching several people play through the game, is a lack of different attitudes other characters have towards Clem.

Their reactions don't seem to carry from scene to scene like characters in season 1 did. There were a couple things here and there, like Luke talking about how you stayed and watched Kenny kill Carver after you tell him about robbing the russian guy in the next episode, but it doesn't seem to effect his attitude toward you at all.

Maybe they felt Kenny and Lily were too obvious about their attitudes in season 1, but this seems too far the opposite, where every character is at least polite towards Clem (other than times they are scripted to act like assholes no matter what, like Kenny at the start of episode 4, or just about everyone in episode 1 until near the end).

Basically it's "no one will remember anything", since practically none of the "X will remember that" moments are ever brought up again by any character.
 
I wasn't really a big fan of this season so far, but I think episode 4 was the best one here.

Jane was/is the best new character this season, much more fleshed out than the identical badass chick in the first season.

Leaving Sarah behind was the easiest decision since I dropped Ben from the bell tower. Good riddance. Great moment with Rebecca turning at the end as well, caught me off guard.


Overall, I think season 1 did a better job building a group dynamic. You were stuck with the same people for longer and they didn't rotate as quickly. The bond between Lee and Clem was the main focal point around which everything else orbited and it anchored all the other developments and events. There's nothing like that this season and I think the disconnect people are feeling is a direct result of that.

Like what another person mentioned, there was pretty much zero point in making friends with Sarah, telling her to grow up, how to use a gun, etc. I thought she'd end up as tough as Clem. Sooo much misdirection this season.
Next episode I'm predicting that after the shootout only Clem, Arvo and maybe one or two other members of each group survived.

Team Kenny.

He took Lee and Clementine in from the beginning and he took the blame for the walkie talkie when Clem was about to give it to Carver. But I like Luke as well, TellTale better not make me choose.


Holy crap at the end of episode 3.. When I saw the two options for axing the zombie or axing Sarita's arm I was like joelbanderas.gif. When I axed her arm, her scream and the look on her face was the perfect end to episode 3. Then my hopes for saving her were immediately crushed at the beginning of episode 4. Felt really bad for Kenny. Was surprised that "axing Sarita in the face" was an option. I just told Kenny we wouldn't make it without him and he reluctantly came along.

I tried to help Sarah but her death was inevitable.

Rebecca was the fastest turn ever.

Episode 5 coming on the 26th! Cain't wait to see who survived the crossfire.
 
I've been playing through this season over the course of the summer and finished episodes 3 and 4 last night (I couldn't be left on the Sarita cliffhanger!) I've liked the season so far and it's been decent follow-up to S1, although it isn't as good. I'll formulate my full thoughts in another, deeper post, but here are my quick thoughts:

Carlos is an asswipe and the shittiest doctor ever. I'm glad he's dead. Also, why would Carver break his fingers if he needed a medic on his team? That Ep.2 ending was intense, but thinking about that fact pulled me out of the moment a bit.

Sarah could have been more interesting if she fleshed out more (a large problem with S2 in general) and I liked the idea of having a mentally handicapped girl who would never have a redeeming moment in the group, but no one says anything about her in Ep.4 and Carlos doesn't fill us in enough in earlier episodes for her story arc to carry the weight that it should. Sarah was a good idea with poor execution, and I ended up liking Ben's story from S1 more as a result.

I don't care for Rebecca. Rebecca tricks you into thinking she is a more fleshed out character with a more realized story arc because her attitude towards you changes, but I don't think she really experiences that much characterization here. She just starts to like you because you do everything (another problem with S2) and her backstory with Alvin, Carver, and her first escape from the complex aren't really told at all, which robs her of essential time needed to build her character. I may have missed some dialogue or forgotten some things, but I don't think it would take away from my core argument.

Speaking of Alvin, fuck that guy. He's more likable because of his demeanor, but he's an asshat like everyone else. He died in my Ep. 2.

Also, fuck Luke. He comes off as nice, but he's a tool and he's stupid and as ignorant as hell. I generally liked him until Ep.4, although his behavior about putting Clem in a shed was dumb; up to that point he was at least trying and occasionally being badass or an interesting foil to Kenny. By Ep.4, he was a whiny, selfish piece of shit who seems to have completely forgotten about all of the events that have led to that moment. He just acts like Nick now, which irritates me that Nick's story was cut short and blown over, because now Luke is acting the same way! The final Kenny-Luke argument reminded me of the Pete-Nick fight, except Luke lost his credibility and there isn't the family tension and the backstory to make it more interesting: Kenny is more or less in the right, and Luke is making a conflict out of this because... reasons. Just saying that he is a stressed young man isn't good enough for me because his story just isn't interesting enough right now.

I hope Jane is pregnant in S3, because that will force her to settle down into a group for once.

Same. I was getting emotional when he screamed at me about Sarita's death. This was the first time that Kenny and I have had a genuine conflict, but I didn't mind his mood swings because he's earned all of those moments this episode, unlike the other characters.
 
I hated Rebecca from the first time she was a jerk to me, and I didn't feel like she was redeemed at all by the story. After she lost everyone she was using she moved on to Clem. Screw that, shooting her was my favorite part of the season so far

I ended up with Jane and the baby back in Carver's now-abandoned Wal-Mart Super Fortress. A family came by, and I let them in.

I ended up
being alone. That was twisted what Jane did, and I wouldn't have trusted her going forward.
 
Based on all the different endings,
I would imagine Telltales have their work cut out for them for season 3, since it seems like 4-5 totally different games now.

Great final episode.

But srsly,
fuck Bonnie. She wants Clem to do all kinds of stuff (save Luke/change Kenny's bandages) and then she tries to run off and would leave Clem behind? What a bitch.
 
I dunno, I think at this point for season 3 they
might have to create a new protagonist. Outside of maybe a minor cameo spot akin to what the 400 Days characters got I really don't see how they can continue Clem's story with all of the different routes it can go.

I don't see it being all that difficult.

(Spoiler-filled speculation follows)

I'm thinking that whatever camp Clem is in (Carver's fortress/Wellington) will be attacked in S3E1, forcing Clem to leave. If she's alone, maybe she finds Carver's fortress and is forced to abandon it in haste during an attack. Really, there's a number of routes they could take. The only one I'm not sure of is the Kenny/Clem/AJ ending.

I don't see S3 following Clem's group as the main story. Maybe there will be a nod and wink here and there, but the endings are too separate for that.

My ending was
Kenny killing Jane, us finding Wellington, and Kenny agreeing to turn away and leave forever if it means that Clem and the baby get a safe home.

I really liked my ending, since it redeemed Kenny in a lot of ways and it was much more emotional
since we've known Kenny for so long, and what Jane did was fucked up. Kenny was way outta line but what the fuck, Jane? Props to TTG for making a choice between Kenny and Jane rather than Kenny and Luke, which I think would be boring.

I'll post more later when I don't need spoiler tags in the spoiler thread (I just want to be safe for today as many players can't play it yet), but this was probably one of the best episodes in the season.

And that S1 flashback. So many feels. I feel like that was moment that really showed you who Clem has become, and I loved it.
