If I was stranded on an island and had to choose between being music-less or listening to The Weeknd I would probably......kill myself.
The "Before The Ballons" mixtape is really damn good too. It doesnt have the same vibe or atmosphere as the 2011 tapes, but it is a solid RnB tape.
I wish they release a version of Initiation without the auto tune pitch shifting. Like they did with The Morning.
DO WANT
As I posted earlier in the thread, I really like it, but I'm almost convinced it's nothing to do with The Weeknd and is just someone trying to capitalise on his success. Perhaps.
Speaking of those definitely trying to capitalise on his success, I would also recommend the Johnny Rain mixtape that somebody posted in the Thursday thread before this was made. He annoyed me a little by tagging The Weeknd in all his YouTube videos in a bid to attract hits, but his songs are actually good, with some really interesting production. All I've listened to these past few days is this album, the Balloons trilogy, Before the Balloons and Clams Casino's mastered instrumental LP.
It's obviously Abel. I dont know how you could get it was someone else.
Maybe it's because I've been listening to so much stuff that's similar to The Weeknd recently, it's all blurring into one awesome, emo-R&B experience...
Haha, maybe. Since you like The Weeknd and similar artist, try this: JMSN-Alone
Good stuff. Is there an EP / LP out there? I can only find a couple of songs.
Looks like his debut, Priscillia, is dropping on 10th January. Looking forward to it!
Clams Casino's mastered instrumental LP.
"House of Balloons is the mixtape you play while getting faded, Thursday is the one you play right when you come back home and you're still pretty faded and Echoes of Silence is what you play at like 4 in the morning when you're starting to sober up. Try it some time."
I dont know....quite a few tracks on House of balloons are dope as shit when you come back home and you're still pretty faded...especially the morning.

Just started my 31st listen. I love this so much.
Sooooo anything been said about that viynl release? Another new stuff from him since EoS?
