The Zeno Clash: Ultimate Edition Official Thread

Man the leaderboards are depressing.

C'mon people it's an easy 200/200 for crying out loud. =/

Oh and here's a review.

easy? I've died quite a few times on those trials. Then again, it was solo because I can never find someone available to co-op. (WOULD YOU, PEPSIMAN? :D )

I tried playing the PC version the other day and found it really really hard straight off the bat. I must be doing something wrong. In the 2nd fight with the 2 guys & girl on the other side of the gate I barely got through by the edge of my teeth. I found it hard to keep track of all 3 people. I'd be trying to get an opening on one guy and concentrate and then I'd get whacked from the side/back by another person.

Oh and it struck me as a game that would be better on X360 simply because of rumble. Getting physical feedback from the combat would add so much. Really disappointed the PC version didn't have rumble support if you used a X360 controller.

Just beat it and got 200/200, jesus. Really enjoyed it and wish I could learn more about the ingame world.

I also see I got rank 9 in the world on the first zeno rush challenge, doesn't seem like many people tried it. Also got ~70 on the 5th tower one, woo.

They might have done better with a $10 price point. Plus a lot of people like myself have already played it, or at least purchased it on Steam.

Well the days of the $5 XBLA game are pretty much over, even the really shitty stuff is $10 now. $15 for a good game with halfway decent production values is the norm now. Anyway I don't think you're missing much that the PC game doesn't have, but for PC-less people like me I was happy just to get to play it.

I want this, but 1200 points for a 4 hour game is giving me pause.
Dude it's worth it even if you only play it once, just because it's so crazy and different.

Keep in mind going to the theater for a 2 hour movie is $10 (at least where I live).

I just beat this game. 3-4 hours long, closer to 3.

This is one of the weirdest games ever. What did everyone think of the secret? I think
Father-Mother
is very disturbing...ick. Also, does anyone feel it ends wayyyy too abruptly? And wtf happens at the end when
the big dude twists his arm and that makes the Father-Mother react?

I liked the twist, it made a disturbing character somehow even more disturbing. By the way, the pit and tower challenges are SO JANKY when you play online. Has anyone tried? It's so crazy I can't describe it other than crazy jittering and framerate drops.

It's something you don't think of, and then there it is, that's the twist, and I just felt weird and uncomfortable...which is exactly what the whole game feels like, so I guess mission accomplished. :lol

I have played through some of the tower and all of the pit. I still need to go through Tower #5 with someone. If you're up for it, or you need assistance in other challenges, let me know.

Worth every penny if you value amazing world-creation and general originality in games.

I've actually been waiting for a price drop. I will buy it for 800 points.

Here's an interesting review.

Hmm. The review mentions that the problems I experienced in the PC demo have been smoothed out. I loved the look of the world, so i'll certainly buy it :)

Yeah, this one really appeals to me. Such a unique world, and fascinatingly odd characters :D

I recently finished this and it was awesome. But I don't get the ending.
What was the deal with the Rubik's cube? Why was Golem all powerful and what was going to do to solve everything?
Unless everything will be answered in the next game.

damn this game has some sexy gfx and never gets mentioned for it!
the game looks like its pushing a lot of geometry, could just be good design but the art and textures are also sick o_O
such a beautiful game

edit: theres a very cohesive element to the visuals that just makes it shine!

so this game is currently going for 600 points. Is it worth that much? The price seems right...
Price is right, but if you've already played it, don't double dip.

I bought and played through this not too long ago. I thought it was an open world game, and was initially disappointed when I discovered that it's actually a highly linear series of environments. But at the end of the day I found the game to be a really enjoyable and strange (in a good way) experience.
