The thing about the Nebula is that it was basically just a TNG-ized version of the Miranda.

The Enterprise-D looks great when you look at a 3D or real-life model of her. But I think that the angles in most shots of the show made her look out of proportion.

This, it should have been a kerb-stomping even with the shields down. It was a horrible combination of the TV shows slow plodding space battles and poor writing.

No it was to adjust the warp field based on speed.
Too bad we never actually saw that in the show, like the Nacelles being at a different angle, depending on given speed. It was always either full up or full down.

Don' know who the two are but I think this is a "photo op" session from the Calgary Comic Expo (2012), it was the first time the cast was re-united at a comic expo.

On topic, I always liked Voyagers design.
I don't know, I think the Galaxy class is pretty beautiful, but you can't really appreciate her full beauty until you see her moving from different angles. I can't find anything better, so here's a short video showing her in combat over the years, both as the Enterprise D and her sister ships. The gentle curve of her neck that connects to the sweep of the saucer section, the elegant struts for the nacelles, the full degree phaser fire cover that influenced successive ships... fantastic looking ship.
My favourite design by far is the Constitution refit, but I kinda want to defend the Galaxy from being as maligned as she is here.

Seriously, not sarcastic, I watched DS9 and just couldn't stand how toothless the BIG SWEEPING CONFLICT was with the dominion. B5 nailed that much better, and showed actual serious consequences for shit.

The chemistry (despite the behind the scenes drama) made up for the inconsistent writing. They were all really good actors too, especially Robert Picardo.
