I am... impressed? Forlorn?

Every year at Den Of Geek, we put together a list of all the movie sequels that seem to be in some form of active development. Some drop off each year due to prolonged inactivity. Some drop of because the film in question has finally happened. And yet in spite of this, this is our longest list yet. A sign of the times? It may just be.

Here then is our look at the upcoming sequels that the movie world - mainly Hollywood - has planned for you...

I want to get something like Romeo and Juliet 2 where it's an action movie and the two houses have an urban war between themselves. Contemporary or Shakespearean setting, either one works. Think Black Hawk Down mixed with Saving Private Ryan.

Someone didn't read the list.

Which was a shame, I actually enjoyed Die Hard 4 quite a bit

I could have accepted 4, although I wasn't super thrilled by it. I do love Timothy Olyphant. But Die Hard 5, I haven't even seen the whole thing. I turned it off after like 45 minutes because it was horrible. I used to watch Die Hard with my little sister every Christmas morning. I actually love Die Hard 2. I consider myself a fan of the series, and I couldn't even finish 5. WTF yo. Shit is lame. So in retrospect I would rather just act like everything after 3 doesn't exist, because I feel like if I acknowledge 4 then I have to acknowledge 5 lol.

Hmm, only cautiously interested in Incredibles 2 and The Raid 3 from that list.

Curious about Hot Tub Time Machine 2, as I've heard the first one is good. But comedy sequels especially usually don't go very well...

Also curious about the Planet of the Apes film. I heard Dawn was pretty good and I want to get to watching that soon.

Some of these are sequels to reboots. Which is like... I don't know, it's like something.

This is a lie. Hot Tub Time Machine is a great movie. Better than The Hangover by far.

Haha that's because The Hangover is not that great either. Admittedly I'm not the biggest fan of mainstream comedies, though. As far as the ones I do like, Superbad and 21 Jump Street (not 22, sadly) are the ones to beat.

Vote with your wallet.
Stop seeing the sequels in theaters, let them die.

Dont rent or buy the movies.

Pretty simple.
