Hasn't lucasfilms made the statement that homosexuality exists, but they just haven't touched on it?

As well as allowed EU authors write in gay characters (Imperial Moff stands out to me...)

no I wasnt banned. Not that someone thinks because I went silent. It just saddened me so much, that for a time I just did not know what to say anymore.

I am grateful Bioware has opened the thread again, and allowed the words gay and lesbian now. Though I can't hide that I am quite disappointed. Bioware games had always been about complex ethical questions, about vast, diverse realities, and as such I had never expect Bioware of all companies to be so... narrow in this question. I was a Bioware fan so long... it was really a shock to see the thread closed.

Probably mandated from Lucas's company rather than bioware who seem to be pretty pro gay. Jade Empire may have been one of the first mainstream games to feature a male-male relationship.

asking people to change the way they think and feel is asking a lot. the mods over-reacted by locking the threads, sure. at the same time, if it's an issue they (bioware) don't want to touch they shouldn't be forced to. it's a volatile issue, and there should be room for people to simply stay out of it. not everybody is a fighter
