I've got to stop.
Is MSI the only company that still does this sort of PR for their products on the PC side?
The videos are stupid of course, but I really don't understand this blanket trigger warning thing. If you have any issues with anything at all you aren't supposed to open the thread? I'm too old an confused for the internet anymore.
Honestly not seeing the cringe here. It's just a bad tutorial/PR video with an actress and bad dubbing.
Though maybe my standards for cringe have just gone way up since that fuckin foam video.
It's acceptable to joke about trigger warnings in thread titles on GAF now?
The way she says "Saw-tuh" cable irks me. Is that really the way people say it?
I go between "Sah-tuh" like how most people say DATA or "Say-tuh" like DATA in Star Trek.
lol i said the same thing...
Sat-uh is how ive always said it... Saw-duh is just weird...
Oh, come off it. I've never had a problem with MSI products before. These videos are very much tongue-in-cheek.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t3U9rhHe0E8

I wonder who the hell does their PR. Who sits there and gets excited about building a computer after watching that bullshit. I'll never buy from this company. Ever.

I don't know what this trigger business is either, but seems to be for sensitive people.

As a software engineer, most people in my field cringe when people say Data like 'datta'. Data pronounced 'dayta' is the preferred pronunciation.
Perhaps because the intent was to make something that can be cross-region pretty easily? I'm not entirely sure, but the video with that lovely Taiwanese lady seems to indicate as much. Why did the dub over her voice?
You can tell it's not her talking in this and it really bothers me...or that they had to scrap all of her lines from the initial shoot and then dubbed over them really poorly (they do this in TV shows sometimes and you can tell if you listen carefully. It's usually because they did a crap job in one scene and it's easier to dub over than anything else.)
Lmao, that was hilarious.
Edit: The video doesn't even mention thermal compound.

Villains, both of you.You mean you say it the empirically correct way? Me too.
Why is no one talking about her voice? She has the voice of every tutorial lady ever. This is corny, but her voice is perfect for it.
I say DATA as Day-tuh
I say SATA as Sat-uh

Don't go all toxic on this threadTrigger warnings are problematic.
She's actually hardcore guys, she's in my CS:GO clan. Her voice sounds just like that. Stop doing sexism please.
Still the king of cringe!
Wow.
This just ruined my day, and I think I am now terminally ill.
How did this happen?
Every word oozes whiningStill the king of cringe!
Awful but this kind of videos have a point: if don't want / can't assemble your own pc, your an imbecile. xD
Damn she's cute.
