There is a way to PROPERLY remove 0% trophies after 2.50

So, many of us were disappointed to find out that "removing" 0% trophies only "removes" them on the PSN server. So this is great for PS4 only owners. For those of us who have kept their PS3s and have a Vita, this feature effectively means nothing because the second your PS3 or Vita sync their trophy information with the server, it all comes back again.

So I decided to test something. I firstly went into my PS4 and wiped the 0% trophies.

Then I went onto my PS3 and switched the trophy mode to Online mode to check if they're removed and they were.

I then restored my PS3. So it completely wiped my PS3 of everything. I started my PS3 backup, signed in and synced the trophy information and viola! 0% trophies are gone both on PSN and my PS3. About to do the same with my Vita.

edit: Seems like maybe you can just delete the account then re-add it? Can anyone confirm?
 
Ah so it actually did work for you then. I didn't actually wipe my PS3 or Vita when I was trying the delete feature on the PS4.

Not worth the effort just for some 0% trophies. But this does suggest that Sony can just code in the functionality for those systems with firmware updates.

Yep. Because the PS3 and Vita store them quite separately on both the console and the server. Hence why when you sync for the first time after a restore it takes fucking AAAAAAAAAAAGES. Because it's writing all the trophy info from the server onto the console for the "first time".

Rapt this worked. Gonna do it on my Vita tomorrow.

Unlimited is one thing, but it would still be a +1 TB download for some, all to look up from the awful PlayStation Store download list. And while you can queue, the queue doesn't recognize more than 30 items IIRC
 
I mean what? This is how they want everyone to do it? or you found a loophole OP?
 
I don't mind having those zero percent trophy entries. At least I can always live with the knowledge that I once put a shitty game in my system and then never again.

History should be preserved. How else do we learn from our mistakes?
 
Considering my PS3 recently decided to corrupt itself and required a reformat, and just having re-downloaded everything, I'm not exactly eager to do this :P

That would be nice if it really does work.
 
Deleting the profile is what you need to do since the 0% will remain on the ps3 side and you could simply resync it back accidentally.

This makes sense since it's a ps4 only feature and trophies can also store on the system.

Sony systems dont sync as soon as you obtain the trophies like Xbox so there were times where I lost trophies(when my phat ps3 died or when i moved to another ps3 and didn't sync).

Note: the only games that I think would be problems are non-ps4 games, since these trophies get saved to the respective systems(hence online and offline modes, with offline being whatever trophies to that system).
 
This is nice that you can remove 0% trophies but... there are so many games that you just wanna try out and you just get a trophy from doing a special move or killing the first enemy or just completing the first stage etc that you end up with at least 1% and then you don't ever wanna play that game again.

Would be nice to be able to remove games no matter what %
 
just delete your account and restore it it will redownload the trophy list from the servers.
i did it when some japanese games release in english put their trophy list in japanes (atelier ayesha...)
 
So I just checked my PS3 and all the 0% trophies I deleted are gone from that too, so I guess nothing is really needed to be done? All my PS3 has done today is the automatic update stuff.

This would be hilarious. Don't care about deleting my 0% Trophies but I'll try to remember to try it.

You in offline or online mode?

Also, my method works for the Vita too. But its obviously not a hassle there since you can just take out the memory card.
 
I can't wait to dump my 0% games. It's annoying to have to wait for them all to load whenever I view my trophies. I'd like to dump some of the 1-2% ones too.
