There's a major development regarding Sydney Sweeney

So apparently the loonies have doxxed her to confirm that she's a registered Republican so that means it's good to carry on hating her and anyone who finds her attractive :messenger_dizzy:

Does she have cancer or is she just infected with the woke mind virus?

She looks fucking terrible.

OK, she looks slightly better in those pictures, but the shaved eyebrow thing is just stupid.

Voter registration records are public information, and she knows that :messenger_winking:

Even if she is a registered republican so what. They need to realize they can't cancel and doxx their way to a more progressive society. They have to win hearts and minds and they are doing the opposite right now

Anyone using the word 'woke' in any capacity now isn't worth having a serious conversation with, it's pathetic. I'm not sure if it's as bad as what goes on in purple town but it's right up there in the lunacy league.

On topic. Sweeney is the 'it' girl right now, like thousands before her so it's not a surprise she has been plastered all over the place in the ad world right now. Shes hot, she knows it and is milking it for all it's worth; good on her.

The identitarian moral confusion of this guy.

I love her even more now.

Also, you'll remember a few years ago that the leftwing nutjobs tried to cancel her for a patriotic thememed birthday party she threw for her mother. This was during President Trump's first term, if I remember correctly.

So if you're a straight male casting your gaze upon Sydney Sweeney it is bad but if you're a gay male casting your gaze upon Pedro Pascal it's "teehee ikr? he's slaying again"? I really don't care if anyone is gay or trans or whatever but I am not into this cultural current where one set of people are allowed to be as they are and feel and pursue and broadcast their attractions and it is downright celebrated as heroic then another group is viewed as the scum of the earth for the very same things with their attractions.

I am a leftist. I am basically a fuckin Chomsky. But cultural marxism is one of the dumbest notions that has ever been invented. Men liking hot women is not some kind of sexual bourgeois. It is nature. It's like enjoying sweet and salty food. It is like when gay women do. Everyone should be measured by their actions, not the farthest reaching paranoia anyone could possibly hold about purported implications of where their admiration could lead.

Thinking a woman like Sydney Sweeney is attractive = You want to commit genocide to be the only race left standing? Absolute lunacy. I will give you that there is a very potent thread of white nationalism in the US right now and yes they prefer fascism. It is dangerous and doing horrible things. Sydney being hot and people thinking she is has nothing to do with that. Claiming that it does is distracting from what is and making narrative against it less effective. Furthermore, it is practicing the very same sexual oppression that it decries for others. Whatever happened to the rainbow of inclusivity? So great job, ruining two of your own narratives in one go just to try and stick it to straight men.

Had too google search who that is. Jenna Ortega.

Doing Google images, she's got a weird look to her. Not the first time she has a ghoulish kind of look to her. It's kind of just how her face and bone structure are. and they way she does make up sometimes makes it more pronounced. She often gets photoed with her mouth a little open too which adds to the ghoul effect.

AE and Sweeney know exactly what they are doing. Sweeney is first and foremost a businesswoman. Even as a child she had business mindset:

"Sweeney became interested in acting after auditioning to be an extra in an independent film that was shooting in the Spokane area.[13] To convince her parents to allow her to pursue acting, she presented them with a five-year business plan.[14]

...

In 2020 she launched her own production company, Fifty-Fifty films, which was behind the hit romantic comedy Anyone But You which she starred in alongside US actor Glen Powell.

Speaking about her role in the company, she said: "I have to be like, I want to be in the room, I want to sit in every single meeting and want to be involved in every decision, I want to be taken seriously as a producer.

...

Sydney Sweeney said in a recent interview with GQ UK that starring in Sony's "Madame Web" was a "strategic business decision" that more or less paid off despite the film being one of the year's most infamous box office flops. In Sweeney's eyes, "Madame Web" got her in the door at Sony Pictures and that's where she was able to have a massive box office success with the romantic comedy "Anyone but You."

"To me, that film was a building block, it's what allowed me to build a relationship with Sony," Sweeney told the publication. "Without doing 'Madame Web' I wouldn't have a relationship with the decision-makers over there. Everything in my career I do not just for that story, but strategic business decisions. Because I did that, I was able to sell 'Anyone but You.' I was able to get 'Barbarella.'"

She knows what's she doing and the climate she's doing it in. Same with American eagle; they said in the run up to the ad campaign they aimed to be provocative and that it was going to push buttons. But none of it is ideological or political, even her registering as Republican on Trump's birthday--You think she doesn't know that's public record? It's all business, and y'all getting played if you think there is some culture war victory for you here

And with this she is getting ready to launch her lingerie brand with bezos linked investors

So the trick here is to build a brand with a specific audience in mind. We'll see if at some point she pivots and tries to shame her current audience in order to chase an theoretical different one.

THAT is, IMHO, the annoying thing in this era. We have Disney buying LucasArts and Marvel to gain a male marketshare, and then what do they do? Try tom pivot these IPs to girls. Do you see them taking Disney Princesses and playing up their male romantic partners? Are we getting Cinderella from the POV of the prince? Rapunzel from Flynn? Etc? Nope, it's all girls, all the time, in everything. THAT is the issue. Male content gets shamed at every opportunity, and cishet male content is REALLY targetted. F that noise.

There is, though. The loons who managed to make even this blatant business move about race and politics keep digging their own graves without even realizing it, and that's definitely a victory for everyone that isn't them. Brainrot people exposing themselves for what they are makes this show even better. And it's just too funny that all it takes is an attractive woman just doing pretty much what every other attractive woman is making on the internet these days, albeit on a much grander scale.

When idiots lose, everyone wins.

Anyway, I definitely agree that this thread is better when it's just about Sweeney's pics. She's not the hottest woman on the planet, but this is one of the very few threads about good looks that doesn't get flooded with anime girl pics from the usual suspects.

I didn't know she was doing Barbarella, and as producer too? She is definitely making big plays with overall strategy.

This looks fun, has good reviews:

Of course they do. The first thing I thought of when I saw this ad was the Brooke Shields Calvin Klien ads. I still do not think the ad is meant to be racist but to point out that she does have good genes.

So, can someone tell me if I'm understanding all this correctly? Sydney Sweeney does a clothing ad and because of the way she looks, the ad is now at the epicenter of a broader eugenics conversation?

Furthermore, clothing ads, since I can remember, have always used attractive people. Sex sells. If my initial take is correct, why is this a controversy now? Why wasn't it a thing in the 80's, 90's, 00's? I'm so confused. I feel like an idiot because I'm just not seeing the problem. Am I the problem? Oh, no.....

They knew it would be controversial because of the sexy nature if it, not fucking nazi genes conspiracy theories from the left.

The eugenics conversation ("she has good jeans") is the mask they've created that they can pull over the real issue.

For the past 5–7 years, they've been trying desperately to condition people with things like "fat is beautiful too", "gender doesn't matter", and "everyone should look the same so that we all have equal opportunities". At first, it was novel because you had things like the Target models that you could say "they look like real people / just like me, so I could see myself wearing these clothes". Now they've pushed it so far that advertising clothes using conventionally attractive people is seen as controversial.

Outrage is the sound you hear when the pendulum going the other way is hitting idiots who stand in the way of progress.

No, it has nothing to do with her looks, that's just the angle they are using because "white people bad" is a tactic you can use that is harder to defend against.

They are attacking her because she is, perhaps, SLIGHTLY to the right of center (though I don't recall her making very many political statements) and the liberal harpies can't allow ANY popular role models on the right. It's an attempt to bully companies into toeing to line with the far left wackadoodle agenda, it was working in the past few years until the $$$ dried up.

In one version of the ad she crosses out "jeans" and writes "genes".

Like a play on "I got it from my mom".

However, the left thinks this is the brand using race ideology to promote themselves to Trump supporters, who they are convinced are all nazis.

It's so ridicules that I almost didn't believe it at first.

Leftists and racist colored people are exposing themselves.
