Avenger's Quicksilver looks better than Singer's dumb as shit version but it's still pretty bland looking. Same with Scarlet Wich. Gloves aside she looks like any random girl on the street.
I don't know how I feel about Quicksilver's concept, but I love The Scarlet Witch's.

It'll be interesting to see of they go with her full outfit though.

What if they were just born that way and they called them miracles instead of mutants?

The only problem I'd have with that would be why nobody's noticed them until now. I guess SHIELD could be keeping it locked down, but you'd think if SHIELD knew, they'd have caught them by now. I mean Banner is Mr. Disappearing Act and they still managed to track him for years.

Wouldn't it depend on what how they decide to portray them? AoS seemed to note that SHIELD tracks mutants/inhumans/whatever but they only capture the dangerous ones.

Given the cryptic things Whedon has hinted about Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, they'd definitely qualify as "dangerous ones".

I heard the quote about them..
not always being on "friendly" terms with The Avengers but that doesn't mean that they're known as dangerous before the events of the movie. I mean look at Hawkeye in the first Avengers. Half the movie he's on the opposing side (albeit under Loki's influence), it's likely the similar with SW and Quicksilver.

In AoS, Scorch is simply monitored despite having a dangerous power. The team only takes him out once he acts in a deliberately dangerous manner.

I guess, though even at his most powerful, Scorch was never on the "planet defending" level of the Avengers. Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver are.

However, I'll say that unless the origin given them is ridiculous and completely nonsensical, like being raised by moon fairies, I probably won't have a problem with it. Actually, I probably wouldn't even have a problem with moon fairies.

I don't see why they have to explain in detail there history. Just say they are brother and sister with super powers. I think even in Ultimates when they are introduced Nick Fury just tells the team that there background is classified but he vouches for them and thats enough. That way in the unlikely event Disney ever gets the rights back to X-Men they can reveal their origins down the road.

If they are going with the Ultimate version inspiration(eww) its probably another attempt to recreate the Super Soldier formula. Nearly all the characters in the Ultimate universe derive their powers from an off-shoot SS experiment.

I just want to know if they're going to let Scarlet Witch have magick-y magic or if it's going to be played off as super-probability calculating or something like that.

The thing I like about Scarlet's outfit is that it looks really kinetic. Sort of reminds me of the Olsen twins' in skirts on Full House too, but like grown up and twisted. Not sure if that's a good thing but I like it overall.

Just gonna do what they are doing for Doctor Strange, I imagine.

Kevin Feige said:
Are you watching the ‘Cosmos’ series? That’s magic. It’s unbelievable. If somebody knew how to tap into that stuff, what’s the difference between that and magic? You don’t get into it in ‘Harry Potter,’ but if a scientist went to Hogwarts, he’d find out how some of that stuff is happening! And particularly for a character like Strange, who goes from a man of science to a man of faith and who traverses both worlds.

So, we're gonna hew closer to the super-advanced science/forces beyond our understanding type thing instead of supernatural magic.

Well, if they're not going to go there with Doctor Strange, they probably won't go there with anybody, I guess. I don't mind, but I've got a friend who I won't hear the end of this from.

I don't really like the MCU's insistence on reducing everything to being science fiction in origin, but even I could live with "All of this totally has an explanation... it's just way above our comprehension". As long as they don't beat us over the head with it. Strange's powers should be vague and mysterious, and I just hope they don't lose that magic. Pun intended.

They will, dormammu will end up being a trans dimensional propane dealer, but to US oh man thats MAGIC. It didnt even work well with Thor no one would care if they went to sword and sorcery in those films. I agree that Strange should be both it manipulates the physical realm we call existence but he also traverses things that science has no explanation for like consciousness, or things we cannot measure or test things that are transcendent like the proposed realm of mathematics, or even constructs that are possible but not physically actual. The producers sound like they've skipped any real research and said shit long as this has enough jargon to sound like some shit on the theoretical section of the science channel then we're good. I dont see why ...though its all psuedo science and imitation so might as well bring in magic as well they've got a blank canvas far as that goes i dont think any movie goers will be upset about it. That shit Feige is talking about is basically Quasar/Captain Marvel type stuff not Dr Strange.

I watched this last night on Hulu. Really awesome. It's also very up to date. They go over everything up to the latest episode of AoS. Concept art looks great. As does the Ant Man costume!

No Edward Norton obviously.
:-(

Fun Comic Fact: If Scarlet Witch had not been borned in the shadow of Wundagor Mountain she would have had energy manipulating powers like her father and sister.

Maybe the full seasons, but the last 4 or 5 SHIELD episodes are up

That was probably done strategically so that those trying to catch up for free are only exposed to the best the show has to offer. Everything they need to know leading into the final arc and tying into the last 2 movies to release this year (
assuming TAHITI is related to GotG
).

nah, I think a lot of shows do that. they'll put a few episodes up and have the rest locked behind Plus
