Supposedly it's just way too easy, no consequence for being seen you just hide for a bit and it's all good, guards give up too easily, can't follow up simple ladders (granted that last one was a thing in previous games I believe), you can easily dispatch everyone and so on. Apparently it has no difficulty settings which were kind of a staple in the old games imposing additional goals like extra loot, restrictions like no killing human guards and even opening up extra areas. Hopefully they're working on something like that, which might have been too much for VR newbies but should have been there for veterans (of VR or the old Thief games alike).
