Ohhh shit, I'm in a spinning... thing! For some reason! Whoa!

I had that spoiled for me on 4chan the day the game came out. I could not believe the thumbnail I was looking at and wondered how the hell they could POSSIBLY find a way to make this happen sensibly. Well, they didn't find that way.

I had it spoiled for me months before the game came out thanks to Kotaku posting it as a top news story :|

Someone needs to explain this would you kindly thing. I thought it was something originating from the hey ash series as I've seen it on shirts they sell.

Back in 2003, the first time I played PlanetSide on my PC, I remember spawning at a tower and when I exited it, seeing all the tracers and laser beams arcing all over the battlefield was amazing. I had never witnessed so much on screen mayhem created by actual players in a game before. I recall just standing there, watching in all directions at the battle. It still holds up as my fondest gaming memory to date.

It's something from Bioshock. If someone else wants to spoil it, go ahead. :P

Bioshock 1 spoilers:
It becomes apparent pretty far in that the unreliable narrator/mission HQ of the game has been controlling the player with the phrase "would you kindly," and that the origin of the player character isn't as generic as we thought. The game says something with the way this plays out and how the player has been mindlessly following his orders without questioning the narrator's motives.

On my own case, pretty much all of Metroid Prime 2 Echoes. Like, every goddamn room. Sanctuary Fortress in particular.

The Shagohod chase in MGS3 blew me away the first time I played it. It was unlike anything I had ever seen in a video game. A perfect merging of movie like action scenes and gameplay.

And the battle with the boss. In terms of story it's an incredibly emotional battle if you are into the story. The visuals are fantastic and when Snake Eater creeps in it just gets so much better.

An example that instantly comes to mind is the whole last section of disk 3 in Shenmue 3. Breaking into the yellowhead building and the accompanying action scenes were mind-boggling at the time.

The whole section leading up until the confrontation with Don Nui and start down with Lan Di on the helicopter was a fantastic blend between, quick time events, puzzles and some fantastic free battles including fighting Bai Hui.

When Lan Di was revealed to be on the helicopter, it just pushed it over the edge.

Returning to Hyrule in Wind Waker. I was 10 at the time, and played Ocarina of Time all constantly until Wind Waker came out. In the age before internet spoilers my jaw dropped. It was a brilliant twist.

For the love of all that is good just play Bioshock, stop reading this thread immediately. You won't regret it.

Yes. I couldn't believe my old PS2 was drawing the pictures I was seeing on the screen.

Playing Road Rage for the first time in Burnout 3. My jaw hit the floor at the replays of cars being smashed into oblivion after every takedown.

I know you meant God of War, and not World of Warcraft, and I agree. :P

Yeah, every area in Cave Story was fantastic, imo. But that area combined with the music was really cool.

I JUST did this like two days ago in Cave Story 3D. Absolutely awesome, loved it.
