Things that creep you out that really shouldn't

There was a segment Sesame Street would occasionally show about the production of an I-beam that would have me running out of the room screaming whenever it came on.

The eerie glowing metal is bad enough when you're four and don't know what's going on, but the clanging piano music accompanying it sent me over the edge. I had nightmares about the 'I On Fire' long after my Sesame Street-watching days were over.
Hell, watching this youtube clip has got me all tense, and I'm 24.
 
Gengar in Pokemon Stadium scarred me for life. I honestly had nightmares when I saw him.

The finger shoop before that was an ancient internet one. It was like the mouth of some sea creature shooped on to a finger tip. I remember being freaked out by it in like 2004, lol.
 
Unprepared meat. Working with it before it's cooked or fried can almost make me throw up for some reason. Same thing if I'm trying to eat it and a stray thought about what I'm actually having in my mouth (dead animal) happens to pop up in my head... And I hate most vegetables too, so I can't really go veggie either :lol In the end it's just molecules but that's a pretty poor comfort when my gag reflex goes mad for no apparent reason :(

Seeing my father cook a moose head in the garage as a child probably didn't help either haha. Can almost remember the stench 15+ years later. He needed to boil the skin off etc so he could put the horns on the wall.

Specifically that episode of Cosby show where Cliff eats too late, even though Claire warned it would cause nightmares, and subsequently has a nightmare where his sandwich starts talking to him. The sandwich and freakin' Snuffleupagus bothered the hell out of me. Mostly it was Snuffy, but the whole thing was pretty freakin' creepy. I guess since it was a nightmare it's meant to creep you out, so maybe it doesn't belong in this thread.

That's inevitably why I quit playing Alto Sax in my move from middle school to high school.

They didn't bother me for a long time but eventually it was torture.

Touching it is such a weird sensation too , no sir, I do not like having my belly button touched.

When I was a kid I was creeped out by tractors , especially the harvester kind (not quite as big as combines).
Things seemed fucking dangerous when driving by on the road, and gargantuan in the eyes of a kid.
 
When I/other people touch metal forks and spoons with my/their teeth ... oh my god.

The sound of scraping anything on those "holographic" pictures ... the ones with the bunch of ridges that have a different picture when you tilt it a different way. I don't know if that makes sense, hopefully you get it. But that sound makes me want to die.
 
Fingernails that are torn off.... ffffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu grosses me out just thinking about it.

Oh and extremely obese people. I cant handle it.

Pretty girls, they can feel your anxiety and somehow make you feel, look and talk like an idiot.

Electrical engineering's math, when I saw one friend's exam I got scared of how ridiculously hard the career will be :( .

This reminds me of people that chew on aluminum foil. THAT SHIT is pretty wtf.

I've said this before in another thread, and it doesn't really creep me out anymore but still... Whenever someone rubs their hands or feet on some type of fabric (usually jeans or carpet) it is as if I can feel what they're feeling in my own extremities just by watching them.
 
I just learned that Daschunds creep me out.

I guess I never met one in real life, but I was at Petsmart and one was walking around and I nearly gagged.

I'm looking at a google image right now and...*puke*

finger nails creep me out. can't stand hearing/seeing people clip their nails. don't really like it when other people touch my nails either.

first thing i ever saw in a cinema theatre.

We were running late and we came into the movie just around that part, the moment i sit that huge fucking cgi sand tiger comes up at the big ass screen (wich i had never seen before). Nightmares for weeks. Never watched the movie again and playing Aladdin's world in Kingdom Hearts felt kinda weird to be honest. I was thinking the whole time that the fuckin tiger would appear for some reason or other. Dead serious.

I hate ladybugs. They aren't as terrifying as spiders or centipedes but they still bother me. Probably because if they start crawling on you it's hard to get them off. They're so gross looking on their underside.

I've always hated all insects but for some reason I like moths. Maybe it's because they're fuzzy.

Also, CLOWNS! I don't mind mimes but clowns have always scared the crap out of me, typically. It's that scary looking way that they smile. I have no idea what they're thinking but they sure as hell don't look happy.
 
When I was a kid in the 80's, there were these PSAs that would show people falling off ladders, or getting electrocuted from downed power lines and stuff. The worst part is that during the buildup to the death scene, this horrible music would play to build suspense. It was 3 notes on a violin/cello/something that they would play once, wait a few seconds, play them again, wait a few seconds, and then play them again just before death.

Scared the shit out of me. I would run out of the room or cover my ears and shut my eyes. Can't find any on youtube, unfortunately.

Also, I loved the HELL out of Arnold Schwartzenegger movies, Conan especially, but this scene was too much for me to handle. I'd seen the movie dozens of times at home and would always leave the room during this part:

Fruits, not the ones like corn or cucumbers or whatever but the "traditional" fruits like bananas, apples, pinapples, etc. Every time I try eating them I just gag and spit them out. I think it's a texture thing.

Yep, this used to fuck me up real good. I've had two long periods where I had trouble walking outside because I "felt" that I would fall into the sky. Very silly, but it felt so real and plausible. Basically made me a shut-in nerve-wreck for a few years. I'm no longer bothered by it, but I still won't willingly spend much time near the open ocean, on a mountain, near very tall buildings, or near any other large, flat expanse.

Lines used to be a big problem too for a while. Especially slowly moving lines in supermarkets or airports, or even in traffic when I'm driving. I felt so trapped. Luckily, I've grown out of that problem too.

Now, not much. Perhaps spiders and wasps inside my apartment.

Technically yes, but for general public most would consider corn & cucumbers vegetables with tomatoes being the only thing to be toeing the line between the fruit/vegetable divide.
