How in the hell did I miss this thread? I don't understand half of it, I'm still only halfway.

To answer the OP: thinking about it, probably the fact that Nintendo created their biggest competitor after backing out of a deal of Sony, and said competitor kicked the original Nintendo sworn enemy of the game and made Sega go software only with their second console, which is the biggest platform of all time sales-wise. Oh, and that in turn created a new competitor who loves the letter X to the bone.

Pretty crazy when you think about it.

One of the CoD:MW games. You infiltrated a Russian gang or something and had to massacre civilians at an airport.

You could choose not to shoot civilians, but you were still a part of it, and many players indulged in shooting down everyone they could see.

That's a shame, it was a pretty good level.

I loved my Dreamcast, and was sad when Sega finally pulled the plug, but it flopping wasn't really much of a surprise if you listened to people at the time. The general population was simply waiting for the PS2, and wouldn't even give Dreamcast a second thought. That, and no EA Sports.

Id say arguably much better than most of that era's CG. I think it started with God of War 3's Kratos model

Answer to OP: That a game that looked as promising as Star Wars 1313 did, with a ton of anticipation from the get go, got cancelled in the blink of an eye.
