Thirty minute Bloodborne gameplay walkthrough

Someone will surely do a better and more thorough translation, but a couple of highlights:

- character is spec'ed for evasion
- cant' use the gun if double wielding, but he doesn't specify if you can parry with a double wielding weapon itself.
- everything you see on the screen when the character's view pans toward the moon is explorable. The demo will give access only to a portion of it though.
- you can restore part of the health bar (the orange part) if you attack the enemy right after he landed an hit
- pebbles are supposed to deal good damage when thrown at unaware enemies
- you can "parry" by shooting right before an enemy's hit is connecting
- you can use pebbles to catch the attention of an enemy so that he will abandon the group he's in, making the player able to take out a group of enemies one by one
- transforming the weapons won't interrupt combos
- dog's howls will attract other enemies to your location
- like in the Souls games you can throw oil at enemies to get higher damage when throwing molotovs.
- the other hunter fighting the wolves is called Gascoigne (they call it Gas Coin XD but I guess it's a typical japanization monstrosity)
Nice, thanks.

Now I'm going to hate dogs even more lol.

Hot cooking oil used for fries? How does just oil do more more damage than molotovs?

EDIT: Double post. Apologies.

The fact that they recycled the ladder climbing and object smashing sounds pisses me off, and also the dodgy framerate ( although this is very much expected from From )

I still can't fucking wait for this.

I'm guessing there will be some kind of parry or counter kill besides the gun stun and gouge move. As nice as it is I don't want that to be the only slick move we can pull off, and parries/counters shouldn't really rely on how much ammo you have which that move does. Signs pointing to more special move types than the gun stun, or still in the dark on that ?

ENB got to meet up with Miyazaki.

Looks like he'll be helping with the Future Press guide for Bloodborne. :o

The combat looks kind of like ninja gaiden on the original xbox, the atmosphere and graphics are perfect, the only complaint i have is the blood, they need to tone it down a bit, also kinda wish it was 60fps since the combat seems to be heavy on dodging enemy's .

You wut m8?

motherf***er!!

That guy is so lucky.
A massive fan of the Souls series (bought a PS3 because of Demons Souls), first he gets to play DkS II during development and write a guide (which he basically does as a hobby anyways) and then he gets to meet with the Legend himself.. O_O

Day 1 and a system seller for me.

Also I think Dark Souls 2 broke me. I was a paranoid mess watching this guy swing to enemies dying animations and all I could think was weapon degradation.

Holy shit so thats what he was talking about in his recent videos. Is he actually going to be doing consultancy on Bloodborne? Wow he must be so happy.

Description at beginning of video talked about class screens, but none were shown

Pre-order canceled! /s

Yeah right! Game looks unbelievable! That atmosphere and violence is top notch and looks to flow soo good

Being able to regain your health from attacks if you hit right after is a cool mechanic, reminds me of Ninja Gaiden 2? It's a good offensive approach that offers an alternative to the defensive running back and healing strategy.

Predicting now that the large hammers will mostly be a novelty. The game seems too fast-paced to allow you to swing your way through the game with such a heavy wind-up. If PVP exists in any form you can bet that fast dex weapons will dominate again like they did in the first Dark Souls.

Anyway, I'm not watching this. I'm not on a strict media blackout but 30 minutes is just too much.

I have a feeling that this will be THE best video game generation so far (MGSV, Bloodborne, Uncharted 4, The Division, Order 1886, etc.).

Wow that's great for him. I think he deserves a lot of credit for helping to popularize DK1 in the west.

I look at these screens and videos of Bloodborne and i can't help but to think of what Chakan : The Forever Man will look like if Sega ever decide to remake it for the new generation...

Does anyone of you still remember that game? It was for the Sega Genesis....

There is no much info for me to enter full on hype mode and this 30 min playthrough is just too long lol, cant watch it here at work.

I want info, is there dismemberment?

What kind of design it has DeS or DS design?

Any lore info?

Wallpapers?

Won't be much help but didn't see any dismemberment. Can't tell about level design from this small area and skipping any showing of respawns. Can't tell about lore since it's all Japanese, but Tsukumo translated and covered it well about the gameplay:

The demo was tweaked to be easier than the main game because otherwise none of the journalists last longer than a minute.

I kind of wonder what would happen if they didn't tweak the difficulty of the demo and just left it at its usual unforgiving difficulty.

Watching the journalists cry in anguish would be kind of interesting to see.

Any confirmation that this game has more areas? I keep seeing the same city over & over again & I'm starting to get the feeling this is all there is.
