At one building I work at I constantly get asian dating ads on GAF. But it's only limited tot hat one location and I have no idea why as it's a high school with a firewall that blocks all dating sites.

So seems like it's fine if you do in terms of not getting banned, but it's a huge dick move. Then again a mod is welcome to chime in, but in many instances people admit to use adblock and it's frowned upon, but they didn't get banned over it

As you said, a mod is welcome to chime in but what I remember is something along the lines of "don't be a dick and gloat about using adblock". Which kind of goes hand in hand with the basic principle of "don't be a dick".

Everyone: use adblockplus. It can show you an ads blocked counter if you want and once it showed that it blocked 18 ads on the main forum page. Ads on this forum are a joke, shady as fuck and retardedly dumb. You can install it on your phone as well, iirc.

You'll never be bothered again. I can't even watch youtube without adblockplus.

Ads on this site tends to be kind of crappy, yeah. At least right now I mostly get the same "YOU'RE 1 MILLIONTH VISITOR CLICK HERE FOR PRIZE" stuff, not the love.tv ad that would open new tabs on window re-focus, or whatever ad it was that would make loud noises on mouseover.
