This is CNN: "N-Word vs Cracker: Which is worse?"

It is obvious. I use 'cracker' all the time, and I am white. I use it jokingly all the damn time. I can't do that with "nigga" or the whiter "n-word". It's just not right in any context. I guess you could call me a racist against myself, but I don't give a shit. 'Cracker' amuses me as a offensive term. Nigger or any version of it comes straight out of days when an entire race was considered simple animals. That is fucked up.

I think calling a person a racist is the worst thing in the world you can call someone. Even worse than nigger.

The b-word is worse. If you call someone the b-word, you're being a b-word yourself. Every time you point at someone there are three fingers pointing back at you.

Silly discussion, I doubt anyone can take being called a "Cracker" as anything more than a joke. At the same time though, I do feel like with how frequently it's used these days, the word "nigger" (and all variations) have lost most of it's meaning as an insult/slur. Not to say that it isn't still used in that way, but there is another side to it as well.

The most upset anyone's ever gotten about being called "cracker" was "Why do they get to call me a name when I get yelled at if I do it to them."

Cracker is hardly used as insult to directly dig at whites though. I don't think it has the same demeaning aspect at all.

Every time I try to defend CNN, they go and do some dumb ass shit like this :lol

Yeah, I'm gonna stick with The Daily Show.

Am I the only one that's never even considered "cracker" a serious insult? I feel like it's always been a joke.

So many words have been tried: cracker, honkey and ofay. All of them get laughed at! Blacks are even disfranchised when it comes to saying racist names.

hi hey hello welcome to CNN *musical theme*

today we're talking about cars. do they go fast. why. how. where do I get one??
piers morgan is here to talk with a man who owns a car about these things.
a panel of people we found on twitter is here to talk about the situation in syria.
brad paisley is here to talk about not being a racist. he hates being called a racist for liking the confederate flag poor guy let's be nice to him. not racist. thank you

If you really want to do away with these words, then just do away with both damn words. I'm sure white people aren't too fond of their past.

Well for one, I think the fact that you can't spell out the N-word in its entirety sorta answers the question. Could be wrong, however!

I don't know about crackers but they did make an Oreo cookie here...
