The kids who did this kind of stuff in my highschool, some of them are doing awful in university, some of them never made it to university, some of them never made it to HS graduation, and some of them are parents. Being a stickler for the law (i.e. obey the legal drinking limit) redeemed.

I want to want to party, I even after watching these vids and going to parties, I always feel like I don't really wanna be there. :/

Idk, I can't be the only one who would rather just vibe with people than party.

Hey, I play a character too, but I'll leave it there. Play on playa.

I do too, at my Dungeon and Dragon parties.

Actually, I've never played DnD. Someone invite me to a DnD party so I can experience it at least once.

If this was the UK they would be obeying the law since one can drink at home from the age of five.

It really saddens me that there are people whose high school experiences consisted of not being socially comfortable or able to go to parties like that and just have debauchery and fun. Not saying that every party I went to was exactly like that, most of them were 16 yr olds drinking around a tap and trying to talk like adults, but as temporary as that happiness and fun is, it should be something everyone should have the courtesy to experience without feeling uncomfortable.

All you do is post about your college experiences, at least lately. I notice you in every college thread and nowhere else, and your post history backs this up. Makes sense that you would be in here too, clinging onto your youth and past days and unable to grow up, while also dishing out judgment. You're saying annoying things.

I can't believe that so many posters here seem to think that this sort of thing is okay.

It's not OK, but it is normal. Most, if not all, kids do things outside the law from time to time. No point in condemning kids to punishment or simply writing them off as worthless because they showed up in a video partying.

Yes, it's foolish to do that, but yes, it's normal for kids to do dumb stuff. Let the parents deal with it.

A lot of them go to ivy league too. You may even work for one.

Best thing about these threads are the posters who have never experienced a decent party in their lives but claim it's the worst thing ever.

LOL, you can say the same thing about any group of students.

And some of them work right next to you. And others are writing best sellers. And others are fucking for money. And others will still be living with mom at age 40. And others are about to release the Next Big Thing in the tech department.

In otherwords, a 8 minute clip of one night is no indicator of future success. People and the lives they lead are more complicated than that.

Why do you care so much?

It is OK bro, keep telling yourself that people who had fun in different ways than you are now failures if that helps you sleep at night.

Other than the obvious lavishness of the party, this isn't really too different from the high school parties I've seen back in the day.

For what it's worth, most of the people who I attended parties with in my high school went on to matriculate at Ivies and other top 20 universities.

The only reason people like you (OP) think this is just how kids/teens party these days is because we didn't have cameras with phones when we were teenagers or our parents etc.

Let them have fun. Wasn't a fan of the smoking and the making out.

Why the hell are you smoking and making out at a party? No body wants to see you making out on the dance floor go to a room. Smoke outside.

Even at the wildest frat parties, I've never seen kids wild out like that.
Wat. Frat parties I frequented had legitimate open room sex, heavy and hard drug use in public areas and consumption of alcohol in ways that only a crazed teenager would think up... And I went to college in Iowa.

What was the name of the frat? Beta Beta Beta? Full disclosure, I was not in a frat and hated the Greek life but those parties were never a joke.

Why do you care so much?
Why do you care how others spend their time, such that you feel need to cast judgment on a forum about them? It honestly sounds like you're insecure as hell, and your post history implies that you're unhappy with where you are, clinging to some part of a "better time". Grow up, man.

Actually, no, it not okay. The whole "the cool kids/jocks who beat me up/mean girls who cyber bullied me etc, will never amount to anything/will all be working for me someday." is the biggest damn lie nerdy/socially awkward/even remotely bookish teens keep telling themselves and it needs to stop. It's doing them zero favors

That was sarcasm.

Now, I'm not looking through post histories to make assumptions but what he said in this thread was that he thinks everyone should have a chance to party while young without having to feel uncomfortable for whatever reason. I think he's encouraging fun...You seem really offended for some reason.

Really? Smoking goes hand and hand with drinking, at least at these type of events. Same with girls making out. Guarantee you there was a group of dudes next to every set of females kissing cheering them on.

This is nothing new. The only thing new about this is YouTube.

Kids are dumb, they act like idiots.
I was a kid, I acted like an idiot.
I still act like an idiot, but now I have money and freedom to do it better than ever.

That was sarcasm.

I know your post was being sarcastic, but there are far to many people who actually think its a legit thing. I should have quoted both your post and the one you were quoting but I'm on my phone and right now and that's a bitch to pull off on a touch screen.

I know it's nothing new, i've been to clubs before. Just comes off as attention seeking,

Thankfully i haven't been to a club/house party where smoking was allowed indoors. Fuck that. Actually i have been to one where people were smoking weed.

Hotboxin the bathroom hopefully.

Yea, fair enough. Graduated from high school and never had a kid, but I did do awful in university cuz I still partied too much. I had a hell of a time, though.

You can tell who here wasn't invited to parties when they were younger. That's not a slight, just an observation.

There's only so much you should say openly on a public forum with the ability to track people back to their personal lives, but I do recall drug use and questionable methods of drinking alcohol. As far as sex, there were plenty of locked and closed doors. Open door sex, now...

Now, I'm not looking through post histories to make assumptions but what he said in this thread was that he thinks everyone should have a chance to party while young without having to feel uncomfortable for whatever reason. I think he's encouraging fun...You seem really offended for some reason.

That was exactly what I was doing. I don't judge those who didn't partake.

But I can see how it sounds reading it back to myself.

Under-aged smoking. Under-aged drinking. Shirtless guys. Girls faux-lesbian kissing. Indecent clothing. Tongues waggling out. Middle fingers. Twerking. Those hand gestures people make to signify they're listening to hip-hop.

And one token black guy.

Looks like a trashy party alright.

I suppose your parties in high school were the epitome of classiness?

I had plenty of people invite me to parties, plenty of people offer to give me alcohol, plenty of people offer to give me drugs, etc.

It was just never of any interest at all to me.
