This is the best scene in Zelda history

Yea, that was awesome. That game is so well-constructed.

I love the part where you bring all the instruments to the final cave, and they all play before you enter. Ballad of the Wind Fish is still one of my favorite songs.

Entering Hyrule Castle in TWW was just amazing though. It blew me away on every level.

This wasn't exactly a "scene" per se, but the sequence in Wind Waker when Link's grandmother took ill made a nice impact. I wasted a lot of time inside her house listening to the music.

Being 11, and reading every ounce of text OoT had to offer I can say that I got emotional on a variety of things:

1.) Saria on the bridge...cliche, yes but who cares it did what it had to do...the first seperation of link from his past and best friend.

2.) After getting the three stones I was quite excited to get to Zelda and have a good moment, but gannon ruined it...grabbing the Ocarina out of the water and having Zelda tell you how she won't be here anymore was a good one too.

3.) Coming back after 7 years and looking at the tree stump in the Sacred Forest Medow...empty :*(.

I've never played TWW to the end so someone explain. How is the ending to TWW so epic when Link did the exact same thing (stab Ganon in the head) in OOT? I suppose its directed better or something? Or is it just the shock of seeing some lil kid stab Ganon in the face as opposed to OOT when Link was an adult?

And the best ending in a Zelda series goes to Link's Awakening. Amazing cinematics for such a limited platform.

LTTP:
When Link takes out the Master Sword
When he prays in the entrance of the Desert Palace
The flute boy

OOT:
Link taking out the master sword
Link leaving the bridge
When the Deku Tree dies

MM:
Anju and Kafei reunion
The meeting on the moon
The ending with the giants

WW:
The frozen Hyrule Castle (THE most magical moment)
When Link kills ganon

I cried with every Zelda ending. Damn I'm stupid :P

I still think the final Ganon battle at the end of Ocarina of Time is one of the most memorable gaming scenes ever.

Pretty much. I hope Link kisses that Mayor's daughter in TTP. That'll be great :D

OoT was an amazing, amazing game for me. There are so many little moments I consider memorable. The opening, the bridge scene with Saria, meeting Zelda the first time, meeting Ganondorf the first time, pulling the Master Sword and meeting Sheik, etc...

However the first thing that really blew me away was when Link got his first sword. I was hoping the "you found a kickass new item!" music would be in there, but I wasn't expecting any sort of cinematic just for finding a sword and it surprised me so much that there was so much detail and love put into the game just that early on.

Such a wonderful game.

Agreed. Probably best game ever for me. Walking on hyrule field, seeing the sun rise for the first time gave me the chills!

The reason OOT was SOOOO f'in amazing was because we were also experencing a 3D adventure for the first time. It enabled us to get so lost in the story and immersed in the world. No matter what Twilight Princess does, and I hope it has a lot of moments, it won't match OOT's sheer sense of amazement.

I hope Revolution creates a lot of those 'o.....m.....g' type of shit. Even if the system fails miserably and has very few games, it will hit a few Nintendo sparks and that alone makes me excited. Zelda Revolution will do things we couldn't imagine.

Haha, the first time you enter Hyrule Field... it was truly a magical moment. Especially with the music starting to play and stuff. :D

Without a doubt, awakening on the moon in Majora's Mask. Elemental cinematics at their finest, better than ICO even imo.

I can never put into words how much I love OoT. I was more hyped for that game than I've ever been for anything. Not only did it blow me away, but it shattered even the highest hopes I had. The entire game was fucking phenomenal and beating it (with the BEST GAME ENDING EVER) was the most bittersweet gaming moment ever.

Memorable Zelda moments:

OOT
*Knowing that I was going to pull the sword out and the Princess had fled, the game capture this confusion/chaos PERFECTLY. Then pulling the sword out and being thrust into pure awesomeness
*Phantom Ganon boss battle and the Forest Temple (especially the music) in general
*Volvagia
*Meeting Zelda and the whole sneaking around the castle
*Seeing Ganon's castle in its fucking awesome glory, soooo cool
*Lens of Truth, BADASS
*Gerudo Fortress in general
*Mirror shield awesomeness
*The last four hours of the game the climaxed at the EXACT right moment. Fucking pinnacle of videogames

The more I look back, the more I realize how great and truly badass Zelda OoT was. Not only was the game a masterpiece of game design and pacing/balance, but it was Nintendo's most "badass" game. It was dark, had a great presentation and some of the most wicked bosses ever. The first boss even "Gohma" is even badass. Everything about the game screams cool. I am totally gay for Zelda OoT.

other awesome Zelda moments:

MM
*Moon hitting
*The whole cow abducting episode
*The whole surreal first three days and intro, crazy fucking shit!
*Swimming with Zora, rolling with the Gorons, the music, damn awesome~
*The moon's landscape (giant tree+awesomeness) is maybe the prettiest Zelda moment ever
*Oni-Link is the best completist secret ever~

The *first time I enter hyrule field I had to wade through a really long dialouge session with the owl and then accidentally confirm for him to repeat everything he just said wtf OMG WHY

But the sun cycle really impressed me, it was the first game I played with time progression and now it seems such an obvious thing to include in most adventure games.

Ocarina of Time will remain one of my most reasrued gaming memories, because it was one of the last times I played a game through with my Dad and my uncle, and with my Grandma looking on, and yes, it was amazing at the time to see a 3d world like that. I remeber being utterly blown away by the visuals, so was kinda of odd to see them in a new context when I replayed it on the GC.

WW was a good game, but not a special for me. I played it mostly alone, although my dad and my uncle did play through certain parts when I looked on, but I was a grown up when wind waker came out, with a job and reposibilities, so I could't lose myself in the game for days at a time like I could back in the day. Also the ending pissed me off, I was really frustarted that they didn't resolve the story to make it mesh with OoT.

Oh wow yeah I remember that being such a great moment. Me and my little brother watched it with those big child-like amazed eyes ntil it was over.

WW endings is fucking awesome.

I also loved MM ending the part where Link goes to the moon only to see children playing around a tree was amazing and totally unexpected.

think about it, if Nintendo didn't rushed WW it could have been the best Zelda ever, the game has so many cool parts.

MM was a pretty awesome game. It was one of the few that truly rewarded you for sidequests (which were actually fun to do). One of these days I'm going to go and replay it. Thinking about starting OoT again and work my way up through TWW before TP is released.

Absolutly. The ones I bolded are my favorites as well. I would like to add a few more:

*The Temple of Time (outside and inside)
*The Water Temple(yeah, I LOVED it) and Shadow Link
*Fishing and all the little details that made this minigame almost a game by itself
*The tinny secrets that makes this game timeless ( the Hyrulian guard that dies in front of you, the way you could change the notes in the ocarina so you could play virtually any music, alot of secret rooms etc...)
*GANON

Also, riding Epona the horse for the 1st time in OOT. :D

Dayum, how could i forget to include this in my other post!!!!

Man, so many memories. 1998 for LIFE!!!!
