I don't understand. Do I get to choose another girlfriend/boyfriend after I max out my current's SLink, or am I stuck with only one girlfriend/boyfriend throughout the game?

:lol :lol

No S link. No matter who you choose doesn't affect the plot. You get a choice near the end. Only a contact option to contact demons change. There is no relationship system.

Whoa, awesome! :D I have EP but never got far in it. I think a more modern take on it (faster text, better menus) may make me play it more.

EDIT: Brain fart. This is IS...awesome :D

You should play Innocent Sin first as it's the first of the story, Persona newbie.

Where the hell were you for the Fan Translation. And watch Atlus be somehow worse thant he fan translation when they could just buy it. :|

>>Date option<<

I know, and that's what I'm pissed about.
Jun is only in the game for the last 2-5 hours
and he's the canon gay option
after all the shit he threw at you as the "Joker"
and replaces Yukino that is 20x superior as a party member and grew through the story with you.

However, the one thing that isn't in Persona 2: IS is
Hoodie Tatsuya
, who I think is better than the default outfit.

ITT: Persona 3-4/Persona newbies playing Persona 2 (the best Persona) before playing Persona 1 (the worst Persona) and 3-4 (ho-hum Persona's).

I'm all for overhauling the UI, but I really, really hope that Meguro doesn't touch the music, even though it's a sure shot that he will. I definitely didn't feel P1 PSP's soundtrack and Innocent Sin/Eternal Punishment's sound tracks were very good as they were.

Meh, I think the motorcycle is what made that work, he seemed a bit out of place to me.

:lol Wow. I was JUST thinking about Persona 2 if it would ever get a full translation and be released as a PSone classic. I guess this is the best we can get now.

The way andriasang phrases it, it's just the opening intro's music that's being kept. The one that plays when you let the game sit after the title screen and new opening have passed.

Besides, we already have a good idea of how Meguro will do the music. P3FES's The Answer had a few P2 music remakes, and they were awesome.

You're pretty good if you can clear the shrines and the final dungeon in 2-5 hours. I don't see why you want Michelle to be an option as seeing as this is part of his plot (don't check if you never played it). http://imgur.com/I75zq.jpg. As for the canon option, probably sure you know who it is if you played EP
it's Maya
. As for
Jun, well the flashback pretty much explains how he and Tatsuya were best friend ever when they were kids. Also the lighter/watch trade is pretty important since Tatsuya always keeps the lighter with him. Jun never really wanted this to happen either. He was controlled/influenced by narlatoteph or however you want to spell it
. I much prefer they add new stuff than rework the plot.

Can't really fathom how Meguro continue to do the direction, since P1 was one of the most bashed remake in recent years, and the soundtrack is easily the most hated one I've ever seen since I started Internet (12~13 years ago).

Where on Earth do you get this? Pretty much all the hate Persona PSP got was on account of it not doing enough to fix the innate crappiness of Persona. I'm sure there were five or six people who actually played the original version and "hated" the new soundtrack (rather than, say, preferring the original or merely disliking the new version) but this overall statement is just ludicrous.

Nevermind the fact that I actually prefer the new soundtrack. :lol

I wish they wouldn't have removed Awakening Legend, however.

Hell yeah, sold my copy of Eternal Punishment. Definitely gonna pick up Innocent Sin, and Eternal Punishment's eventually port.

2. So, what are the chances that Radiant Historia actually doesn't suck?

Look at it this way: Someone in charge, at some point, had to look at the graphics and say, "Yeah, this looks good. Let's go with this." :lol

Wow, 11 year old game gets ported to a handheld and GAF goes crazy :lol.

Great games never lose their vigor and impact. Considering Innocent Sin hasn't been played by a good number of us(never bothered with the fan translation) it's a new game.

The fan translation was pretty good I would say.

Is it related to Radiata Stories or the SFC game Gran Historia? Otherwise they should try to come up with more original titles. Graphically wise it's not that terrible for a DS game. I'm interested by the time travel and alternate timeline system let's hope it's good.

Be-..."Because we're focusing so much on the phenomenal exploration and battle mechanics!" Plus, Shimomura, overworked as she's become, hasn't worked on a bad game since (arguably) Tobal Number 1 in 1996.

Yeah, I'm starting to hope he doesn't touch the soundtrack too much now too. I've been listening to the OST CD for P2:IS and I don't see the need for any change.

But I know they will.

Started on the Fan Patch for this game last year on my CFW PSP-2000 but ended up not getting very far before I sold the 2000 for a shiny new 3000. I've always wanted to go back and play Innocent Sin and secretly hoped the Atlus would bring it to the PSP.

So now let me just say "Thank you, Atlus, and please don't take too long with the English translation!"

Day 1 for Persona 2 PSP.

Speaking of Persona 2, I believe this is the hardest Persona game in the series (I haven't played Innocent Sin but Eternal Punishment was well... Punishing),

That's the feeling I get too. There's no way the ost is not gonna be redone with Meguro directing again.

I thought the ost for P1P was pretty good. It was the gameplay that wasn't so hot (mainly because of balance but also the story/art from the original was pretty blehh).

hopefully they update the battle engine a bit, p2's battle system has aged... it's not really that fun anymore.

Dude, I've been defending this game from the start. Who cares if the walking sound is GRIND GRIND GRIND and the animation/graphics are a little weak. The game mechanics are by the SMT SJ staff and if anyone thinks they'll make a bad game, they're nuts.

It'll be a fairly low budget title, but I think it'll be good. Time travel storylines (especially where you can change events) are fun and the battle system should be great.

Going by P1P and the scans of P2, I wouldn't expect any changes to anything besides the music and adjusting balance numbers. They don't seem to want to spend the time/effort/money to actually add/redo features in the games.

aaaand my interest level goes from 0 to max.

I guess to be fair to skepticism I should say they're only about half the staff on the game (but they're directing and designing the gameplay mechanics. And in these handheld games, gameplay is king), the other half are some budget dev I've never heard of. It's basically a joint project.

Fair enough, but I edited my post. :P
I dunno, the "controversial" stuff isn't all that bad by 2010 standards. Maybe it's wishful thinking, I think we'll see it in its full glory.

Eh, budget elements don't bother me too much. If the gameplay is worthy, I'm down.

Well, I'm not holding my breath, however I hope I'm wrong.

The new G.rev shooter is 星霜鋼機ストラニア (Seisoukouki Strania)

Here's a link on G.rev's website from 2009. Apparently it was a cancelled arcade game!
http://www.grev.co.jp/str/index.html

Here's footage of its location test:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iEetK7OGYug

It's supposed to be evocative of "late 80's shooters." Looks really hot in the video with all the perspective shifts, but does have kind of a MUSHA-y vibe to it.

I approve wholeheartedly.

So now the PSP just needs a port of Persona 4, and part 2 of Persona 3 AND Part 2 of Persona 2, and it will have a complete set. Its getting close though.
