So I think it will just take a bit of ime for all the games to come online.

Steam really does win. I remember when i bought halflife 2 about a year ago. I hadn't used steam since my counterstrike days 5 years ago. I was very impressed when i just downloaded steam, put in my password, and acutally downloaded the original halflife and wound up playing that again before halflife 2.
Now that these THQ games are on steam will they be there for years and years or could they be unavailable one day?

He meant GFWL, obviously. And Crysis and Bioshock aren't confirmed to be GFWL (or even hinted at, obviously there's no benefit in Bioshock being a GFWL title).

People don't like the "pay for what's generally free" philosophy behind GFWL. So they want it to fail before it can pick up any steam (lol) and become a big player in multiplayer PC gaming.

A lot of people (myself included), were excited at the idea of MS actually trying to turn the PC into a legitimate platform, but MS is just half-assing it and using it (was using it) to push Vista on folks.

GFW as a logo initiative is harmless and overall beneficial. It means that console ports from the 360 come "out of the box" with good controller support and that all games have widescreen display resolutions. It's not a bad thing at all, not anymore than the other Windows logo programs that they have had for years.
Live is another beast entirely, but again most of the stuff is free save online achievements and matchmaking. The matchmaking thing is something I am not too keen about given that it is free in most RTS games, but really overall paying for Live if you aren't a 360 owner is pretty silly.

Any idea on when SupComm will be available on Steam? I'm not seeing it there right now.

I am missing the last last Dawn of War expansion and at that price I do not think I can refuse. I still can't want until they put STALKER on there, it will definitely be my next purchase.
There is no war. Steam offers an awesome back catalog of games at reasonable prices I am willing to pay. Unless if GFW does that I do not see how they can compete.Chiggs said:
