Thread of rate the above gametrack .

Nice, reminds me of Gerudo Desert. :P 8/10

Pokemon Diamond/Pearl-Underground Theme I haven't heard this in ages, and I thought I'd spread the nostalgia.

Fun and light-hearted with a victorious sort of tone; this is definitely a Pokemon track, lol. Brings back good memories. Feels weird to rate a song, but 7/10 I suppose, as I enjoy it but don't find it super striking.

Final Boss music in Devil Survivor. Incorporates elements from battle songs and "epic cut-scene" songs from throughout the game to create a really intense feeling of finality.

Nice and breezy. Yuzo Koshiro rox.

And now I post one of the most epic C64 tracks.

Parallax - Title

Sweet and uplifting, as a good ending theme should be. It works as intended, and is even pretty infectious, as I got a little melancholic even though I had never heard the theme before. 8/10 because I'm boring.

My track: Little Pretty Thing, the ending theme from Tiny & Big: Grandpa's Leftovers.

Very weird song, specially for a videogame.

6/10

Arashi No Saxophone #2: KOF 96

Pro-tip: Use headphones to appreciate the awesomeness.

i knew ordering would get fucked up

its not realy a problem as long as people put the title in their so you can see who is rating what song.

Besides, it is kinda hard to get everyone in order .

having 5 people post a rating for the same song seems inevitable.

Also if everyone had to wait for one guy to post before someone else can this thread would be dead soon.

Nice song little subdued for my current mood though. 6/10.

Time for some salsa and jazz from Outrun 2

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o02DbIF9yQo

7/10

Low because you linked a low quality version :P HQ here!
Love the Outrun soundtrack. Used to prefer Magical Sound Shower, but Splash Wave has slowly become my favorite. They're both awesome and underrated :/

Since you linked a racing game I could do the same. A calm piece that builds up.
Paris Rouen - Forza Motorsport 4

Cool concept to go for a normal pop song for using it in a video game. Song itself is cool as well. 7/10

Won't go the "post your favorites" route for this thread. A track I liked a lot from a game I played recently:
Mighty Switch Force - Whoa I'm In Space Cuba

Edit: While I was looking on Youtube for the song, I came upon this remix of another song:
Mighty Punk Force!: Harder You Faster You Stronger (Daft Punk vs WayForward)
It's totally amazing! Had to share (not part of the thread of course).

EDIT: OMG this Practice Lesson song is rad. 9/10.

So many good songs:
#70 Awesome airy "Roland" sound. Instantly sound like mid 90s!
#71 Why haven't I heard of this soundtrack before? Indie games have such awesome music.
#72 Sounds kind of Genesis-y, but in a good way! Instruments sound clear, but the sound is still much softer and pleasant than most Genesis games.
#73 Awesome intro! Found a HQ vid here, but it sounds surprisingly good in 240p.
#74 Sounded a bit dull to me, but it probably sounds different in the game.
#75 Probably awesome, but I want to save it for when I finally play MGS 1 :P
#76 Catchy, upbeat, crazy Japanese music. What's not to like? :D
#77 Getting similar vibes to the intro/music in Persona 4! Like it despite being pop.
#78 Catchy game music with a solid beat and pulse wave chords. Awesome in other words!

Makes me want to dance. The first listen, I thought it was kind of generic sounding, but it really does have a great beat. 7.5/10

Kid Icarus - Sky World
6/10 Not as catchy as some NES music, but still pretty cool.

Shadow Squadron/Stellar Assault - Ganezula? BGM 2? Anyways it's awesome. Megamix version (MUCH higher volume and you can see what the sound chip is doing) Different drums, but otherwise pretty similar.

Love it because it's the first time I heard a Genesis game use FM (type of synth, hard to create "soft","warm" sounds with it) for such a smooth chord. Notice in the megamix version there are three channels to give it some depth. The pulse waves (green ones, Master System sound chip :P) also sound pretty nice in the background and who can dislike an FM bass?

That's pretty sweet. I like the jazzy parts. 7/10

I'm going classic. Always thought this set the mood well.
Metroid Brinstar Theme

A classic for sure, but not my favorite on the soundtrack (that's Kraid's Lair). Still, 8/10, because it's great.
Rusty Ruin Act 1: Sonic 3D Blast Genesis/MegaDrive

I remember loving the music for sonic 3d...this track starts out strong, sort of falters a bit in the middle but still remains catchy as hell.

7 out of 10

I have always had a soft spot for Sword of Vermilion this song is simply called Dungeon

Have barely touched handheld Sonic games. Pretty different from the music in console Sonic games, but still good like all Sonic music! 8/10

I saw Rusty Ruins Act 1, why not the much superior Act 2? :D

Edit: The song is still good after it, but the 17 second long intro is the awesome bit. It loops after 1m50s.

Gorgeous.
9.5/10

From Pokemon Stadium: P97+P98 Cup Battle 4-6

8/10. Identifiably from the 32-bit era and very video-gamey, which is a good thing. Also love the slow build up at the intro. Never played Threads of Fate, but listening to that honestly made me interested in tracking it down if just to see what this music is the background to.

On the Verge of Madness -- Mushihimesama Futari

nice track, reminds me a softer version of ZTS tracks in umineko. i like the drum machine/ violin combo. sounds pretty fit for a shooter 7/10

Gravity Rush - Pleasure Quarter

Top Bottom
