Three in August - Backlog Divided

Stronginthearm said:
I'm close to finishing Picross e3, Picross e4 and Kirby Triple Deluxe, so those are my three. And maybe I'll finish my replays of Final Fantasy X and Persona Q.

So I've beaten Picross e3 and e4. Still haven't started up Kirby again yet.

Been getting back into my gaming lately.

Tales of Vesperia (19 hours in)
Fallout: New Vegas (14 hours in)
Fallout 4 (18 hours in)
MGSV: The Phantom Pain (Mission 45)

Well I'm going to try and tackle 4 this month:

Starcraft 2: Legacy of the Void (Finished on August 8th)
Quantum Break (1st hour so far)
The Banner Saga (haven't started)
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided (will likely drop all other games to finish this)

I suspect this is already discussed in these threads, but what tools if any do you guys use to manage and get an overview of your backlog? I've been using Backloggery a bit but it's really starting to bug me that it's kinda slow to add games. Is there any option that can just read of your Steam owned games list plus Xbox achievements and Playstation trophies and just add those games?

just beat Strider. really cool game, not a great Metroidvania though. at the end I had no desire to go back around everywhere and pick up the last few upgrades and constumes and whatever. I did for a few minutes, but got bored.
people said the late game bosses were really tough, but I didn't think so at all. that last blade upgrade (the purple one) made the final area + boss super easy.

Quantum Break
Forza Horizon 2
Gears of War 2

Nearly 2 years and 50 hours later I finally completed the finales (main land and Storm Island) in Forza Horizon 2. My time played also included obtaining all discoveries (boards, car meets, roads) and getting pretty far on the promo challenge of photographing cars (275 so far) and completing one of the bucket lists. There are a lot more championships I could play, but I'm going to let it rest for a while before going back for completionist which I guess would take another 10-20 hours or so.

I'm ready for Forza Horizon 3. : D

Pikmin 3 (final)
Star Fox Zero (final)
Fast Racing Neo

simple Excel file
systems tabbed (sheets), columns for titles/completion check... "x" indicates standard completion (end game credits), "xxx" indicates thorough completion

Super Mario 3D World
Metal Gear Solid 2
Metal Gear Solid 3

Yeah so Mario 3D world is done. That means everything possible completed with Mario. yes even that pesky Champion Road. Not going to to bother playing through with other characters as I have more than enough games in my backlog anyway. What a game though. One of those exceptional experiences that seem only possible from Nintendo.

Watched Ending B of Nier. Now I can focus on Tokyo Mirage Sessions.

Hold on now. Ending B ain't nothing yet. C and D. C'mon let's go. You only have to play through once. Don't save after ending C and then replay the final section and select ending D.

Quantum Break
Forza Horizon 2
Gears of War 2

Gears of War 2 was great! Some parts of it are still impressive for being 8 years old and I feel like it just got better as it went on. I love the variety it offers from act to act and I'm curious to see if the series still offers a few surprises in 3 and Judgement. I'm downloading 3 now.

Crossed three off the list in a single month! I can't remember the last time I finished this many games in just a few weeks, but hopefully I can keep up the momentum.

Bloodborne - Got the Platinum trophy. That was my first time doing all the chalice dungeons, second time beating the DLC, and fourth time beating the game.

Uncharted 4 - Nearing the end, I'll finish this tonight or tomorrow.

Probably gonna do a short game for the third, was thinking Mighty No 9

I must rebuild my list a little.
Besides I finished R&C, yesterday.

PS3
Devil May Cry 3

PS4
Grim Fandango Remastered
Ratchet & Clank
Driveclub - dlc

PSV
Virtue's Last Reward

X360
Portal
Under Defeat HD

Bloodborne
Uncharted 4

Going through Dark Souls now.

Just saw this post near the end of August, luckily I've finished exactly 3 games.

1. Ths Witcher 3 - Team Triss, loved every moment of the playthrough!

2. Dragon Age Origins - Been playing it on and off for two years now, finally wrapped it up. I really didn't like the controls. Its like a mix between Mass Effect and Neverwinter but always awkward.

3. Uncharted 4 - Best linear narrative design I've ever witnessed. Combat and climbing is also butter smooth. Possibly my GOTY2016.

Thanks OP
Challenge accepted well more like completed
,I have a new system in place to clear backlog and its for every 3 games I finish I can then buy 1
So far this month I completed
Street fighter 5, I agree with the OP its a pretty nebulous thing game completion,I have 1 rule of thumb if I feel igave a game a fair shake and tried most of a games modes/systems and im satisfied with my efforts ill then label it complete d(thanks folders)
I dont necessarily have to reach endgame etc I just have to be satisfied with my efforts.
Street fighter I completed general story and character story played survival for a few hours and tried to complete challenges(could not but I tried) the online was a blast too
Overall street fighter wS a solid 8 outta 10

Darksouls3 beat the last boss nuff said awesome game

Life is stange episode 1
There is a real nice tone to this game good vibes good tunes

Bound, this is an interesting 1 ,it feels like im stepping inside a painting everytime I play
Cant stop admiring the sights
9 outta 10 for being different

Beat MGSV, Ori and the Blind Forest, both Wolfensteins, and 999. Only did one ending cause it pissed me off,
getting a good or bad ending based off luck is stupid.

Megadimension Neptunia VII (PC)
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided (PC)
Demon's Souls (PS3)

Beat Mankind Divided with 22 hours. I really enjoyed it. I'm a long way off from finishing Nep, and I have neither the skill nor the patience to tackle Demon's Souls right now.

I bought Fallout 4 and beat that. I had low expectations and was still disappointed.

Completed Alan Wake, Borderlands 2, and BioShock Infinite (the damn Clash in the Clouds blue ribbons) this month. Down to five Xbox 360 games left from last generation yet to finish.

I beat the story mode in The King Of Fighters XIV (PS4). Apparently it needs to be repeatedly beaten in order to unlock all the extras, which I'll definitely do over time. Still, chalk one up for the "beaten" column.

Bloodborne - Platinum achieved. Best game ever?
Uncharted 4 - Snoozefest
Gone Home - Interesting little walking simulator. Really liked the story and what little dialogue there was. Certainly made me think about people and relationships from a point of view I otherwise would not have which is a success in my book for these small experimental games.

With that said I've successfully completed another month.
