Threw up at a bar. Am I allowed back?

Had, uh, a lot of drinks last night. Thought I was fine, but suddenly projectiled all over the counter. Bartender tells me to get into the bathroom, where I suddenly start vomiting everywhere (can't remember how everywhere is everywhere, but I think I made a huge mess on the floor). I remember using up a lot of paper towels trying to clean my mess drunkily but I couldn't really see where my vomit was? So I think I did an okay job and then... Actually, why would I think that? There's no way, lol.

In any case, after throwing up in the bathroom for like 10 minutes(?) I went back to my barstool and everything was all cleaned up (that was incredibly fast. Or was it?) Made sure to tip double for all my drinks but obviously there is no limit to how embarrassed I was.

Bartender didn't say anything to me but I'm going to go on a limb and say that I think I might be banned. I certainly wouldn't want to try for at least a month. I don't know what the social decorum is for this. I shouldn't go back, right?

EDIT: Just wanted to give more context. This is the best bar in town and I love it a lot. They cycle out the tap with interesting selections really frequently and I was a regular. If I can't go back I definitely will be sad.

EDIT2: Ok, I fucked up. I was well in my right mind and yet I still exercised poor judgment by driving home. Sure, it was 2 1/2 later from my last drink (I believe I was there for 6 hours and had 5 beers), and sure, I only live maybe 30 seconds from the bar, but that's no excuse. I honestly should have just walked. Sorry to everyone here. Didn't want to derail the thread with my own bullshit but I'm not going to complain since I needed to hear it.

If you ever go back, I'd wait a LONG time (at least 6 months, a year+ would be better) and if you do, don't get drunk there ever again. Casual drinks only.
 
I think they would appreciate it if you at least apologized. Not because you have to or might be banned otherwise, just because you made them clean up your vomit. Just seems like a sensible thing to do ;)
 
I'd go back and apologise to management if it's somewhere you'd like to frequent. Otherwise don't go back for a while. Is it a small bar or a large half bar, half club sort of place?
 
Go back and do it again.

Don't be a quitter like Messi. Not till your picture is hanging in that bar, you keep going back there, drink too heavy, throw up on some hot chicks, and get kicked out again and again.

It's a large bar and the best one in the city unless I want to go half an hour out. It was my favorite and I was a regular.
 
Unless you were asked to leave immediately, you should be fine.

People having a few too many and chundering is just an accepted hazard of a publicans career.

I or one of my friends have upchucked in in every pub we go to regularly at least once, as long as you don't continue to act like an arse afterwards and apologise you should be fine, if embarrassed for a while.
 
You go back and apologize and bring them something tangible to express your remorse for making them deal with your bodily waste. If you come in with a genuine apology they will think highly of you even though you threw up all over the place.

Definitely don't try to roll in like nothing happened.

I needed to sober up, so I drank water for 2 1/2 hours. Had to drive home (told the guy I had an uber but I know when I'm ok to drive and live down the road one minute).

Wow, I think I remember falling in my own vomit. Let me go check my pants, GAF.
 
It happens. If the place is busy enough, they'll have had to deal with it a few times. They'll probably keep a close eye on you and deny you some late-night drinks for a while, but you'll be fine.
 
If they didn't tell you you're banned you might have gotten away with it.

That being said, I know It'd be a while before I went back there.
 
Yup, I have proof allllll over my jeans. Wow. Wow. So embarrassed. I sat at that bar and probably smelled like my own vomit. I do distinctly asking the bartender what time it was and he said "closing time" by it was definitely an hour early.

This sounds reasonable. I mean, I did apologize and express how embarrassed I was and he did say "don't worry about it", but that might have being polite to the drunk.
 
Just wait a month or so to avoid the embarrassment. It's just a bar, they still want money. It's not like you smashed up the place.

I didn't keep drinking. I drank water thereafter.

Also, GAF, I think I wasn't kicked out because this is a suburb, not the place where people expect you to walk around. I could have walked home but he didn't know that.
 
Go back and apologize and wait a few months before going back to drink.

Give it a few months, probably no one will remember your face. 6-12 to be on the safe side. What kind of bar was it? If it was really nice and they retain bartenders a while, you might be screwed, but if not, you'll be good.

I already tipped a dollar per drink and then doubled that after the incident.

So you only noticed the vomit on your jeans now, but you still think you were okay to drive?
 
Wait a couple weeks and try to go back for a quick drink. Get in and out without a fuss and build from there.

And yeah, don't drink and drive. Really stupid.
