Tim Buckley has rebooted Ctrl + Alt + Delete

I used to really like CAD in the beginning, I always liked how wacky it was and Scott and the Linux penguin behind their fortified door made me laugh, then for some reason he took what he had and tried to make it a serious comic (see everything leading up to the misscarriage) and that was when I stopped reading it.

This hurts even more now that Brawl in the Family is gone. We need a new young hero with wit and artistic talent to restore the webcomic balance.

This is a piece of art btw.

Tim thinks pretty...highly of himself doesn't he? I mean, it's fairly obvious the main character is pretty much him and the main character has gotten to the point where he's literally a superhero.

If I managed to write such a bad webcomic with such poor drawing skills and not only make a living, but make a pretty amount of money I also would feel like a superhero.

Don't twist the knife in the wound ;_; I will miss Brawl in the Family forever.

As for Ctrl+Alt+Del... Well, the art definitly improved. As for the rest... I'll refrain from commenting.

You know, I never tried to watch one of these for more than a few seconds before. I wonder if he actually suggested that the animators make the backgrounds keep the no effort MS Paint look. Also, why does this feel like a rejected Family Guy episode?
I'm not under the impression that the staff behind Family Guy even have the standards required to reject anything at this point.

Tim Buckley is an anomaly. His webcomic is mediocre and it has been mocked for years, but he has a fanbase and he keeps trucking along.

While I do not like his webcomic anymore, I respect that he kept going.

Did he actually get better at drawing or he is taking a page out of Sohmer's book and hiring a homeless to draw it for chump change?

I'm getting an idea about the person you are than him tbh.

The Ethan character is the very definition of a Mary Sue and the fact that you not only enjoy such cretinous writing but make a sly ad hominem post criticising someone for having this opinion speaks volumes about you, "tbh".

Errrrr, he's using a Cintiq for that... process? I am officially done.
Is that the Cintiq he got when he started a gaming charity (only because Penny Arcade started one and he had to do whatever they and PVP were doing) and took all the money and spent it on himself?

Seriously, I swear that show popped up just after PVP was doing his show. Then there was the time he tried to start a gaming convention right after PA started PAX. I think it took place at a mall food court.

That's the thing: I heard a lot of (really negative) things about the artist, but I find it hard to check if some of these stories are true or not.

To give credit where credit's due, Tim Buckley made a comic so iconic that people can interpret it with straight lines and everyone will still understand it if the line in the 4th panel is lying down

I honestly didn't know anything about the overwhelming hate for CAD until I came to GAF. It was always an enjoyable, if not flawed, comic that came out of the era of web-comics, and then kind of kept existing. I realize it's not the funniest material in the world, but it was the equivalent of "the other comic" you'd read in the paper that wasn't your favorite, because it was there. There are far worse comics out there.

Never heard about Tim Buckley's personality, either, except that he's widely parodied. L. H. Franzibald in Penny Arcade is supposed to be him (IIRC) and then there's that hilarious handsome face strip. No idea what real world stuff that's all based off of, though.

My favourite Tim Buckley story is the time he did a fundraiser for his own version of PAX, and managed to get about $150.

Honestly I don't see anything wrong with having a reserve of stock assets for quick production.

The problem is that he keeps reusing the same assets over and over and over again for each and every character. It makes everything look absolutely the same.

I can't believe B^Uckley is still doing this garbage.

It's even worse than before.
It totally is, something that should be impossible but it is.

Again? Isn't this at least the second reboot?
I used to really enjoy the series, but gave up when he threw away years of character development with a literal reset button. I get that he had maybe ran out of ideas or wasn't enjoying the direction the comic was going, and it was his comic to change as he wanted, but I enjoyed the original iteration and the interaction between the characters, along with how their relationships had formed. When he wiped all that, I knew I was done.

I will openlying admit to enjoying, and buying the first dvd of, the animated series as well.

Been naming every Pokemon in my catch em all run of ORAS after his strip. So far my favorites are Losst Dog the Poochyeana and MistCarriage the Wingull.
