Tim Buckley has rebooted Ctrl + Alt + Delete

Wouldn't this be the second retooling, then? He previously killed of Ethan in favour of the Player 1-4 characters.

Its also the second time he tried to push Ethan and the other guy as super heroes. I remember Kris Straub and Scott Kurtz making fun of it in a 2007 maybe 2008 podcast ep

Jesus fucking christ, I've never seen this one. He actually said that? The miscarriage is the straw that broke the camel's back? WTF? What a fucking asshole.

I tried watching one of those shorts.

The friend guy said "...Hey Ethan. Did you spend all your money on videogames again" and I literally vomited all over my desk and had to stop watching.
Not literally.

That was worse than I could possibly have imagined. Might try and watch another.

His artstyle isn't even that good or impressive... and he needs cintiq to re-use assets? Damn.

Is that explosm comic real, by the way? I know the quote is from his blog, but did they really make a joke out of it and put it on explosm.net? I'm asking because a lot of people know explosm, but I doubt the general crowd knows about that infamous CAD comic.

So... I stumbled upon this while searching for more info on the Charity/Cintiq thing.

WTF is wrong with this guy. I used to read CAD off and on back in the day but got tired of it even before he started doing longer story arcs (By the time the Abortion strip came around I was long gone). Buckley always seemed a bit full of himself, but I'm amazed at what I've seen in this thread... guy's a piece of work.

This thread has me completely lost.

Some of it, I see what is "Wrong".. but so many links to things "Can't believe this wasn't posted" that are completely meaningless to anyone not "in" on the story.

Not a complaint.. but seriously have no clue WTF is going on in this thread.

Anyone have the "well, you fucked up.." one, where he shat on some kid doing fan art with his characters?

I found the text, but I dunno if you mean there's a comic floating around with it or something.

Well, you fucked up.

The thing about copyrights that I guess you don't quite grasp is that whether you are doing it just for fun, or for profit, using someone else's work without their permission is against the law.

I've said it many times on these very boards, I don't allow anyone to take CAD into their own hands, with the exception of fan art. Especially animation/film. The reason for this is that someday I plan to undertake these projects myself, and in the meantime I don't want some piece of shit floating around the internet representing my intellectual property.

If CAD is going to make the move to animation or film, it is going to happen under my strict supervision, so that I can make sure it is done right.

You must be in high school, because I'm fairly certain most colleges make you seek permission before adapting/using copyrighted materials into school projects. I don't recall high schools being quite so eager to make sure copyright law was upheld. But it's unfortunate that they didn't teach you that it was illegal.

I've passed this matter along to my lawyer to see what he has to say about it.

But that comic isn't the straw that breaks the camel's back concerning his credibility
Well, he never had one, as far I'm concerned.
But that comic would be terrible (and oblivious) even by his standards.
EDIT: aaand it's real. Jesus Christ.

Found the picture. Text is too jpeggy to read so good thing you posted it
OH GREAT, I'M DRAWN BY AN AMATEUR. JEEZ...

Worse thing was apparently it was a high school student who just wanted to use his characters for a simple animation assignment. Probably just wanted to see Tim's reaction to a cutesy fan project and instead got hit with a lawsuit threat.

Oh god, that's brilliant.

I'm pretty sure it gets more hilarious though, after that it was found a new character he 'designed' was actually just stolen from someone's deviantart page that showed up when you did a Google Image Search for 'punk girl'.

I don't think I enjoy hating anyone quite as much as I enjoy hating B^Uckley.

I had a great joke reply already typed out but I realized it's probably incredibly tasteless so I'll withhold.

Don't worry we were all thinking it.

I hate that this article is taken as entirely factual.
Yeah, these guys liked these FB groups. But that doesn't really prove hatred is a genocide simulator...

True, when I see a game made by neo Nazis which features a white protagonist killing predominantly non-white civilians in brutal cold blooded executions I tend to give it the benefit of the doubt.

Well, you clearly didn't investigate the topic enough. Otherwise you would know that the developer denied to be a neonazi.
He just liked and followed that neonazi Facebook page since it's apparently a very reliable source of unbiased news.
