Though I will say this for him: he certainly created an iconic strip. Bizarre, inappropriate, and disgusting for all the wrong reasons...but iconic.
 
I totally get the CAD hate, even though I somewhat like what Tim's done over the years. Occasionally he can bust out a decent comic. Like his recent FFXV comic:

Eh isn't it just poking fun at GTA's supposed justification for its violence? Sounds like he's just bitter over violent games such as the Darkness getting called out but not GTA because of its satirical content, not that I've seen that. Anyhow, I think he's trying to get across the idea that violence is still violence no matter the context. Regardless of whether I agree with him, I can see where he's coming from. Kinda odd but understandable.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone have a link to the original miscarriage comic as it was presented in CAD? I'm listening to the Webcomics Weekly where they discuss the previous CAD reboot, and it's making want to see the trainwreck in full.

EDIT: Never mind, found it.

EDIT2: I have to say, it's not as bad as I expected... Don't get me wrong, it's abysmal, but a fist did not actually come out of the screen and punch me in the face.

I don't mind VG Cats sometimes, and I found this one funny.

That apology for the "quiet black man" comic is textbook what every person says when they engage in casual racism:
On the one hand, I felt the joke was funny, and ultimately harmless. But on the other hand, clearly any jab at a racial stereotype, no matter how playfully intended, is going to be a touchy topic for many people.

Allow me to first state that there was absolutely zero intention to offend anyone with today's comic. There was no ill-will, malicious agenda, or racism involved with arriving at the script for the comic. I am about as far from racist as a person can be.

God reviewing all of this stuff...I hadn't realized just how much Buckley epitomized every negative thing about "gamer culture" to me. Like, I'm not saying that there aren't any positives or anything, I'm just saying that he embodies basically all of the negative ones.
 
Wow, the animated series is like a worse Family Guy if you remove all of the cutaway gags, and all of the rest of the jokes are CAD punchlines. Like, actually.

I haven't followed the guy too closely, but I'd say he misses out on the "faux philosophy" thing I Am A Gamer does.

From what I've been reading, it's somewhat justified. But I don't think I've ever seen GAF collectively gang up on someone this badly.

Note: I am not defending Buckley, I am just genuinely surprised by the vitriol I'm seeing. I knew he was disliked, but to what extent I did not expect.

CAD is like... Well.... when you where 13 years old did you ever try to appear smarter and more interesting then you actually where in order to impress some girl or whatever? But in reality you just looked like a ass.


Its like that level of faux tween intellectualism in Comic form.

Okay I fucking hate the guy, but accusing someone is always very serious, and the circumstances behind this case were very wierd. I never investigated fully but was it ever proved true or false?


Any this I hope this fuckwit loses power and has his entire work destroyed so people's sense of dignity and decency can recover. Uggh.
 
I miss the SomethingAwful threads that added Loss.JPG to everything.

The "dick pics to an underage girl" claim is only circumstantial, hence why he's not in jail.
But he's still a total douche that can't write or draw.

I still think his "greatest masterpiece" was the "Games Games Bowl", a 48 page story full of spelling errors and grammar mistakes made so he didn't have to draw a long story arc. It's baffling how he thought that would be a good idea.
