Time to upgrade my wallet

Have had a Tumi wallet for 7 years now, so you can tell it lasts a long time. I'm glad to see they are getting some recognition in this thread. Their products are really slick and they are built insanely well.

The ALPHA one posted got me looking, and I think I'm going to go by the store later (we have one locally, check, you might have one in your area) and get this one: http://www.tumi.com/vector/slim-single-billfold-100848/

Anybody got recommendations for ones with coin pockets? Carrying a wallet and also a pocketful of change defeats the purpose for me.

you guys have too much shit in your pockets, at the most i have these three things and my keys or a phone

mb i should open 5 lines of credit, a couple more bank accounts, get some gift cards, and join a few rewards programs to make sure i'm making use of all that wasted space ;p

My $250 check from my chase freedom card says hi! Cash back rocks. I like my regular leather wallet thank you.

I've had the same wallet now for 11 years. Its a Billabong wallet made of either hemp or canvas, and I got it from a surf shop on the Outer Banks. Its pretty amazing how well its held up over the years. Multiple cycles through the wash, and is still structurally fine. I'd go with one of those.
:lol :lol same here. internethighfive.gif
Had mine for 8 years, still in perfect condition!

I got a real nice Oroton wallet from my gf this year for my b'day. 6 slots for cards, money clip and a little slot for a few coins. It sure beats carying the fat piece of shit I used to have

Those J.Fold wallets are incredibly cool. It's surprising hard to find stylish wallets, but at $70 dollars they are are ironically expensive. I mean if I buy one I won't have anything to put in it! Am I right guys? . . . Guys?

Anyone have any of those nice metal or plastic credit card wallets?

I'm talking about these

But from reviews I've heard, this wallet doesn't hold more than like 2 cards without being able to close.

I hate people that talk about what they have but don't post pictures. Thats just bad internet etiquette.

Alright settle down. Heres some bad iphone pics. Sorry I don't know what the model of Oroton wallet is as it was a gift

I bought a wallet last year at Meijer too, and while it's a pretty decent bi-fold wallet, I only got it because I couldn't find a money clip & card holder any place for some reason, and my last wallet was not actually functioning anymore. Was a fairly urgent purchase >.> I'm definitely going to check those ones amazon has out.

Got this red J-Fold wallet. Very good, not too thick.
I just bought that top left one. Better be good!

FRNDS10J promo code gives you 25% off. $50

ITT: People act like macho pricks?

Anyway OP, I just use a business card holder :/
I just carry my ID, a debit card and maybe an odd or end though. I like to travel light I guess

If you're over 15 years old and you still have a velcro wallet there is something wrong with you.
I lost my credit card once when it slipped out of my leather trifold. I considered a velcro wallet for a while afterward.
I realize there are other solutions (and I went with one) but there isn't really a reason to avoid velcro that I can think of.

I mean, my grandfather used to say men should only wear pants. Never shorts. This seems equally valid as the velcro thing. Meaning not at all.

I have a Slimmy:

Holding 7 Cards, 8 bills, 3 or 4 misc. paper items.

It's.. Thin. Nicely constructed leather, fairly classy. But having to fold money in half to put it in is annoying. I've been looking for a nice bifold that's simple and thin. That Tanner Goods wallet posted earlier in this thread looks pretty damn nice.

Oh, and I used to have one of these:

Never again.

Fuck leather wallets, this shit is durable as fuck.

what exactly do you do that requires your wallet to be "durable as fuck"? Are you a spy? I have a couple leather wallets that have lasted me 5+ years and are still good to go, and I don't have to look like a 14 year old in the process.

Some people are far too self-conscious. They're even afraid about what something as trivial as their wallet says about them. jesus.

I have a Kenneth Cole wallet, can't find a picture on the net of it to save my life though. Not even for sale on their website.

I used to have an All-Ett but it fell apart when I tried to close it after stuffing it with 750,000 Korean Won in 10,000 notes.

This Kenneth Cole wallet is pretty nice though, stylish, durable, and also still quite thin.

It's not about being vain, it's about finding a wallet to securely hold my valuable items whilst being thin, well thought out and of high quality. All wallets are not created equal, different materials, different stylings, different features. It's also a pain in the ass trying to judge a wallet from pictures, so a little help narrowing down the online search is appreciated.

This is the one I use. Surprisingly comfortable and durable, looks classy too.
I have one similar. Has held up well for a 2-3 years I have had it except for the clear ID space in front. Other than that, it has been rock solid.

I think I have a black leather Perry Ellis wallet or something like that.
Gets the job done for me. I really like it. Bought it 3-4 years ago, before that didn't get a new wallet since I was 13.

I bought this wallet about a year ago. Prior to this wallet, I only owned one other wallet in my entire life. I owned that one for about a decade. It was made of leather and extremely durable. I think it was a Swank. My aunt gave it to me when I was about 10 years old. She placed a dollar bill in it and signed "Good luck" in a sharpie. I have that same dollar bill to this day, except it's in my new wallet. She has no idea I still have it. It's been awhile since she first gave it to me. I don't think she remembers. I wonder what she'd think if I showed it to her.

Here's my current wallet. Second one I've owned in my life:

Just two credit cards, debit card, a few IDs, sometimes cash (rarely), and a spare phone battery. I keep it in my front pocket.

Did it fall apart shortly after you bought it? I was thinking about springing for the leather version, but I'm wary of the quality. Nevermind stuffing it with tons of stuff, it just looks rather cheap to begin with.

No, I had it for quite a while and was really happy with it. Just stuffing it with 75 bills along with all the other stuff I had in there was a stupid idea.

Nice wallet, Bboy. Where did you get it.?

I have a great leather wallet that's served me well for years. but I'm looking to upgrade to slim style wallet.

Wait, what? You keep a spare phone battery in your wallet?

Hermes store in NYC. Leather is the only way to go, IMO.

Yes :lol

It is ridiculously useful and has saved me from a jam numerous times. I got so sick of my iPhone dying on me at the end of the night so I'm glad I can now swap out batteries. It's nice not having that monkey on my back anymore.

I can understand having that luxury of a spare battery but I can't imagine having to lug that bulky wallet like yours in my pockets everyday. Not worth the trade off if you ask me.

And I still stand firm on my stance with wallets: Money clips are infinitely better.

I really like these wallets.

The Jimi

Had it for a over a year, and no problems. Securely holds 4-5 cards on one side, and another 4 on the other side. Plus, cash on the outside.

I picked this up in the Philippines cause I don't like to remember i'm 31 years old and should act like an adult.

Though my roomate has some sorta manly leather wallet with a moneyclip. Maybe I should grow up.

I have a ton of goofy wallets, that tend to be decent quality.

I've been carrying around this leather one (without the chain). I've no shame.

This is an amazing looking wallet, but most places I see sell it for $200USD, lol
