Have you ever hated playing games during the day!

Does the sun glare on the TV almost make it impossible to play!

Look no further then your trusted kitchen appliance tinfoil!!!

So I just did a little home make over and taped a whole bunch of tinfoil over the window in by basement and my god. Its incredible and looks like I'm playing in night while its a sunny day outside. I was always never able to play games during the day with ease because I couldn't see like one fourth of the screen because of so much sun glare, but now their is no sun glare and its incredible. I thought I would just share this little tip with people who have a shitty window in their basement that makes their tv sun glare city. Just don't do it on any window that easily visible outside because well its a eye sore to be honest.

Anyway does anyone on gaf use this nifty trick and if not well your welcome :)

There's a house down my street with tinfoil windows. Mind you, they also have an alien head painted on their satellite dish...

Just buy paper shades?

Assuming you don't want to shell out for black out curtains.

I was more of a cardboard sheet in the windows kind of guy back in the day.
Now I use heavy curtain (drape) that blocks light. Adultery, new place and such.

All this meth lab comparisons got me dying over here haha

Never realized who suspicious it looks on the outside, but i don't care because now I can game in piece :)

Haha whatever works for you, man, but for most people, I'd just recommend good-quality curtains or blinds. Same effect, and no one's going to assume you're cooking meth or hiding an escaped felon.

take a picture of your basement from outside, print it high quality and have it enlarged to lifesize, tape picture to window, tinfoil on the back of the picture, and cook away in peace

Shit dude this is only 6.50 I might have to invest in this so no one things I'm a meth dealer...

Do they work

Yup, I bought them on a whim during a lazy weekend so I could binge The Flash with my gf in bed using my mini projector. Couldn't see the projection on the wall during the day but after slapping that up the show became visible.

It sticks on via an adhesive, it's super easy to put up. Just make sure you get the right width so no light leaks through.

We put them up in the bedroom in the summertime to keep it cool.

In addition to dark curtains.

Tim foil reflects the sun and heat away. Its nice.

I don't believe u
There aren't two people that exist that put foil on their windows

i use blackout curtains. I have them in my bedroom because there is so much light and a flood light about a quarter mile away that shines into my bedroom.

tinfoil maybe a real low budget solution but id probally just have something like curtains to help with that lol.

Aight might have to try this because apparently tinfoil is as ghetto as painting my front door to look like the confederate flag ;)

Yeah, but it's 6.50. For that price you can buy tin foil and a pound of chicken, wrap a quarter of it for lunch four separate times, and still have tinfoil left over!

It's scary to think how much money and air pollution could be saved on cutting down on air conditoning if everyone would be doing it. But there sure is a social stigma to it in the US. Even curtains are not the same, noting deflects heat like the foil does. I know it's a very popular thing to do in some east europe countries in the summer as people don't have air conditioning (or don't want to use it excessively).
