Titanfall 2 Angry Joe Review

This guy nails it every time. My favourite reviewer, entertaining and plays the shit out of games before making a review usually.

Very solid review, lots of info, and very balanced in terms of negatives and positives.

Am I alone in noticing that Angry Joe has become less angry of late?, not that I am complaining, I prefer the more subdued tone!.

He's just been playing good games :)

8/10 is about right. It does a lot well , best fps of gen network, code , etc gives it high marks for me.

Seeing some of its limitations now about 30 hours in, small maps, small games , but again I'd give it an 8 or 9 just based on how tight it plays and fun.

I feel like his SP criticisms are really nitpicky. The campaign on master took me about 7-8 hours which is perfectly fine. It keeps things fresh and doesn't overstay it's welcome, which is a huge reason why it's been so well received. Not a bad review, he seemed like he really like the game as a whole. I thought he was going to go with a 9 by the end of the video.

This implies he was angry for no reason in the previous reviews. When games do things right, he rightly states and gives it credit. And same for when they do shit things — games have been shit for a few years and have gotten progressively worse. Not to mention Titanfall 2 has no microtransaction bullshit either.

That's a pretty negative way of reading what I put!

That's so spot on it's amazing: my sentiments exactly.

8/10 and Bad Ass seal of approval and a definite 'buy now' message: perfect.

watchout... his review is a bit spoilery. Kinda bummed I watched.

but yes, superb review!
Thanks. Shame he often does this, but it is part of his process. But I'll need to play it before watching this one. I really want to play this campaign.

Its a good review and im glad theres finally positive discussion about one of Joe's videos but unfortunately this game looks like it wont have legs due to Battlefield 1 and COD crippling it. Cant justify full price for this one.

I do agree with the point about the game moving laterally in some cases. I miss the burn cards and the league system, which just added a little more to do and manage.

Oh, I'm listening to it in the background and I have not finished the campaign. Should I shut it down now before I get spoiled?!

I find his criticisms about the length of the campaign a bit off, as it's so well paced and I feel like adding more stuff would feel like unnecessary padding. Other than that, good review, although you can tell this was rushed compared to his normal ones.

Guess I add this to "watch later" until I finish single player someday, having too much fun in multi.

If he's not angry anymore, does that make him an average Joe?
The adjective shtick is outdated but he started in the era when an adjective is what would get a gaming Youtuber attention (see Irate Gamer for how this fails). He could rename his channel to Joe Vargas, and nothing would change.

Happy Joe is taking over guys

This may actually convince me to resub to his channel. I've enjoyed some of his reviews in the past and his scores were usually similar to mine, but honestly I found it tiring to watch his videos where he's cursing and yelling at everything.

Good review, but I don't agree on the campaign length to be honest. I feel if it had been longer it probably would have overstayed it's welcome. It also has to be said that the campaign very rarely and only briefly took control away from your character.

I'm more surprised he didn't comment on TF2 having fewer multiplayer maps at launch then TF1.

He seems to be taking it more seriously now, and he does a damn fine job.

Serious question: Why does he get his own threads?
It's always a kind of joke, but I really don't know why (and don't care)
Why does sterling get a thread? Joe's videos get millions of views. He's one of the most popular video game reviewers on YouTube. Deal.

His reviews are infrequent enough that there isn't a thread every week and is a very prominent reviewer on the internet.

I´m not particularly fond of his style (the persona, the sidekicks, the gimmicks, etc.), but I have yet to see a review in which I don´t agree with his comments and even his final score.

Deeper and funnier than most "serious" reviewers.

I'll give this guy a chance.

Guy is happy to have a promotional helmet? lol

He wanted it to make a skit with it for his review but it was delayed by Amazon so we didn't get the usual skits. Also yes, he likes collectibles.

You can't justify full price for it because you perceive it not having legs? If everyone thought like you then self-fulfilling prophecy for sure. Thankfully the population hasn't taken a hit after COD. If it stays steady where it is we're good for a while.

The campaign's inventiveness, variety, and pacing all make for an incredibly repayable mode. My first time through I was struggling with the controls (came from PC with TF1), as soon as I finished I jumped straight back in to tackle it with the skills I'd amassed.

The story is its weakest point, but your interactions with BT are charming enough. Despite this It really is one of the best FPS SP campaigns I've played.

I really want this game, but everyone on my Friends List is playing BF1, so that's what I'm playing. Wish EA pushed the game into Dec or January.
