Titanfall 2's Single Player Campaign is fantastic.

Between BT, the traversal sections and the (spoiler)
time travel mechanics
, this was easily the most memorable fps campaign I've played in years (COD:IW aside, but that's another story).

It's great because it doesn't treat players like idiots. There's enough freedom while still maintaining direction through solid leveldesign.

Yeah, and the characters are pretty generic/forgettable. The appeal lies more in the way the campaign is designed and the inventive ways it utilizes the game's mechanics.

BT is generic? He has more personality than most characters in games I can think of

Crazy fun campaign with a ton of standout moments.

Hearing that they abandoned a more 'traditional' campaign and shifted to trying out a bunch of ideas midway through development makes me really wonder just how incredible a TF3 campaign could be if they go in that direction from the beginning.

Definitely overrated. The gameplay is very strong as a pilot, but I felt playing as a titan to be a chore. The narrative and characters are sci-fi b-tier level. So it's a good, short enjoyable campaign for what it is, but let's not oversell it.

Incredibly overhyped campaign. It only got good in the last two levels, what preceded just felt meh.

Multiplayer is a masterpiece though.

It was a stupid amount of fun. I loved all the boss battles against the mercenaries and the factory level that had you following the assembly line, amazing.

Great campaign, but not as good as Infinite Warfare. Titanfall 2 seemed a bit on a budget compared to the spectacle that Infinite Warfare was.

I thought it was pretty good. I still find the core shooting in games like these a bit meh; but the variety was dope, and the bosses were fun enough as a mix up. And while the story is whatever, BT was chill. Cute robots are always dope, I mean the game is no Wall-E The GOAT or The Iron Giant; but what is?
