TITANFALL Collector's Edition revealed

There's one of those in Vince's office right now. No offense to the Rex, but the work in progress CE statue is already way cooler, imo. The Rex is very flimsy and feels... fake? Hard to describe. The quality of craftsmanship on the Titan diorama statue is literally the best I've ever seen. People complaining about the price - I don't think there's actually much profit in it, if any, for us. We're doing it because we wanted there to be a badass Titan statue for the hardcore fans and collectors out there.

No offense taken, i love mechas so I definitely want to check out your finished product.

oh man. going to sit on this until next year. and decide if i want to keep or not. because all i want is the game but i like to collect shit. pc is tempting but idk at right now. sucks for those that actually want it. lol ;P

Its in the works, as soon as the first one is finished :)

It's more solid than the Rex? Curious. You guys gonna do an unboxing for us?

If you're going to shit on a ThreeA product, you're going to have to tell me who's doing your sculpt and what materials this is actually made from, because that right there is ridiculous.

(Rex is also articulated)

PS make sure you turn the hip joints correctly, they shipped turned 90 degrees to help compress the legs. This might be why it feels "flimsy"

(It's not flimsy)

£250? Fuck me with a tree, that's only £110 less than I paid for my full-size Big Daddy statue from Studio Oxmox.

This Titanfall thing is a real moving robot with an engine and AI, yes? You can unleash it on people?

Fuck me.

Game looks really fun, but I wouldn't say the artwork is anything particularly special...Very pricey, but maybe there's a drastic increase in level design that reveals itself in the final game.

hmm...

Uugh god dammit more statues. I don't have room for that shit. I love art books, soundtracks, making-of DVDs, but I've never been a toy collector. I don't like how they look on my shelves, and I'd much rather not own them to begin with. This is what stopped me from buying the Skyrim CE. I wish they would sell 3: Normal, Collector's Edition, Collector's Edition with Statue.

For the Australians interested in this...

It's exclusive to EB games, you can order online on the 30th of October @ 10am.

Only 300 copies available Australia-Wide.

Just out of curiosity all of you complaining about the price point what do you think it should be priced at? Like what would be a fair price?

If the statue is high quality I think the price is fine.

$60 Game
$30-40 Artbook
$20 Poster

So $130 to $140 for a high quality 18'' statue honestly isn't that bad.

I think your inflating the price of the Artbook. I bought the really nice art books for Mcgee's Alice and Bioshock Infinite for around $20 off amazon and I'm not even sure if the titanfall one will be hardcover/coffe table style

Just going off of what they have on Amazon. I rounded up to $30 because most things in CE's are overpriced according to their actual value. But yeah my $40 estimate was pushing it.

I actually don't own/collect these but high end collectible toys are pricey.

It's hardcover with 190 pages. Looking on Amazon, video game art books that size retail for around $35. Before the Amazon discount at least.

No exclusive (or even timed exclusive) DLC. Not even any custom skins or badges to show off that you bought the CE.

Pretty weak showing for an online game.

I don't think Respawn and EA know who their target audience are.

We're gamers not millionaires. Gaming companies already pushing it with $150 collector editions. But $250? That's so bull.

Even if they're making a $250 edition, why not make something more adorable for the rest of us?

Just out of curiosity all of you complaining about the price point what do you think it should be priced at? Like what would be a fair price?

It would have been more reasonable at $150. Max about $180.

The statue looks good but it doesn't look $250 good.

The entire bundle seems like a ripoff. Otherwise they could have packed and thrown in alot more stuff, but obviously the main thing there is the statue and thats why people will put $250 down.

Do we know who's making the statue? Is it A3 or some other reputable studio?

If so, pls at all the people expressing outrage. That statue would and should easily fetch 190USD on its own. I'm not even a statue guy and that comes across as totally reasonable to me.

If not, a lesser pls, 'cause there's always a markup/"video game tax" when it comes to these things.

Actually, I take it back. I didn't realize the statue had built in LEDs on the soldiers and mech. The entire package probably does round out to $250 so it is fair value. Especially with that artbook having 190 pages hardcover.

Its a great package but damn is it expensive. Probably going to go to those guys who can just waste that cash, as its something I wouldn't mind having but clearly its way too expensive for me when I have other priorities and like my other collectibles, it would just sit there.

I bought the Dead Space Ultimate Limited Edition for the 360 when it was a new IP. Cost $250, super limited and could only be bought from the EA stores. I sold it a few months back online for $700. It was one of the worst limited editions I ever bought, it came with a signed lithograph, 3D glasses / art book, anime cd. The extra $450 I made from it was totally worth it though.
