TMNT game by WayForward! PS3/360/3DS - This Fall

An activision licensed game. Yeah. Wayforward can do a lot with a little but they're certainly not miracle workers. I'm expecting a rushed game with a budget the size of whatever could be scrounged up from between the couch cushions.

It's an Activision licensed game by Wayforward, so, no.

But its actually designed from the Turtles of the Nick cartoon, which I happen to like. I actually like some of WayForward stuff. Thank god they don't look like these turtles:

Those are nightmare fuel.

And isn't that Legend of Korra game Activision too? They got platinum games, so it could be good.

Just because its Activision doesn't automatically make it bad.

As a 20 year long fighting game enthusiast I strongly disagree. The reviews are conflicted and range from this game is perfect to this game is trash. Yep.

I would love to see Betrayal 2.

As a 20 year long fighting game enthusiast, I'll just agree to disagree. lol

Art is definitely nice, though.

Maaaan. I can't play this. Even if the game turns out great I can't play it. The Nick cartoon's art style is just way too repulsive to me.

To me Betrayal controls like butter. What seems to be your problem with the timing of the animations and or controls? Do you feel inputs are unresponsive or animation is delayed?
Or do you not like the confines of having to wait for the animation to complete before more command inputs? Do please elaborate.

Did these guys do Double Dragon Neon? I loved Double Dragon Neon.

This doesn't look great, but I hope it's surprisingly awesome. And I hope I can play co-op with my son.

Yeah, doesn't mention co-op, just that you can swap the turtles with a push of a button. Maybe by the d-pad you can switch out turtles. Still a turtle game by default should have 4 player co-op, at least I think so.

Best possible news for a TMNT game outside of Rocksteady. Wayforward may not have nailed the graphics completely but I believe in their talents when it comes to good controls and fun games.

Does this mean that Virt will get to handle a TMNT soundtrack? Oh god I hope so. Regardless of how the game turns out, it'll be sure to have rad music thanks to him. I think TMNT3 on NES is one of his favorite game OSTs, so I'm pretty excited at the prospects of him working on this brand.

Yeah, I'm concerned by that. *sigh*

Looks .... ugly

Wayforward can do prettier visuals =(

Bridges the gap between s2 and s3?

When is s2 going to finish? :/

September 12 the Season 2 comes back, then we have 4 episodes (2 normal ones and a double part season finale) and exactly 1 week after we have the first episode of season 3

WF nails a game every 2-3 bad games, and it doesn't seem like these will be one of the formers.

But if it's decent then I can bite for bargain prices on 3ds

At least they aren't using the artstyle of the movie.

Ha!, i was scared that they were gonna use those designs before i actually read the text and saw that it's based on the animated series, phew!!!

That said... graphics don't look good, i think OotS looked better (character models aside).

I wonder if Wayforward is aware of the shovelware attached to their name?

They make great original I.P's, but they have a whole lot of crap polluting their portfolio.

They got bills to pay. If Treasure can get away with it, WayForward certainly can.

Treasure can't, they've been irrelevant for years now.

The fact that this is something like the 4th TMNT game in the space of a year seems like a pretty good indicator of quality.

He did the music for the GBA game, the one by the team that later did the Scott Pilgrim game.

So this is like the 6th WayForward game this year

Yeah, I know people think they're overrated but they've seriously cranked out some garbage lately, way more than usual (and most of it 3D, too, which I'm sure isn't a coincidence).

It will probably a completely serviceable platformer that lasts two hours and has some weird gamebreaking glitch in its final level or boss.
