To late to learn serious math at 26?

I'm 35 and I just started up math again (as well as programming) because it's heavily used in machine/deep learning algorithms. I've been working on stats and some calc stuff and I find it easier to understand now. I can also appreciate it now as well as I'm more aware of its applications in my day to day life.

I think it's much easier to learn now because there are tons of youtube videos on most of the topics, so it's as if your have many teachers teaching you the material in different ways.

Def pick it up man.

OP, you'll probably hit several learning walls along the path, but it's definitely doable :)

Learning some fields of math, such as vector calc, will require you to start thinking about things very differently, and you may not get it until you either practice it heavily, or have it explained in a way that clicks with you.

Good luck!

Personally, I think there is a limit in Maths past which only few individuals are equipped or skilled or even capable of truly understanding & internalizing.

Math is the hardest of all subjects, even more so as you progress.

I find that my imagination cannot grasp the concepts at high levels.Astounding stuff.

You can learn the basic math you need to do astrophysics in less than a year. You only start doing advanced calculus much later in the field. Even a basic level of calculus is enough to carry you through the beginning, and then you'll begin needing multivariable calculus.

If you begin delving into more physics, you'll need linear algebra (some find this more straight forward than calculus) and some differential equations.

Other math depending on what you specialize in. Let me know if you have any questions.

In other words - you can absolutely do it.

Edit - didnt realize this was a bump. I'm addressing the OP.
